Sunday, (Nov 5) – I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with Himself depends on faith. (Philippians 3:9). Praise God for His generosity in giving up His Son, Jesus, for us, and that now through faith in Jesus we can be credited with His righteousness; something we do not deserve, but which God freely gave. Pray that we will respond to God with gratitude and thanksgiving, choosing to walk in His truth in our daily living as people made righteous through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. Pray that we will generously share this offer of free credit with the people around us.
Monday, (Nov 6) – Pray for people who are facing sickness and illness. Pray that God will bring comfort and peace to their bodies. Pray that He will cover them with His sovereign hand, calm their fears, and bring restoration and healing to their bodies. Pray that God will grant wisdom and discernment for the doctors treating them as to which treatments to pursue. Pray for their loved ones and family members, that God will alleviate anxiety and worry, and grant them His strength and grace during this difficult and stressful time.
Tuesday, (Nov 7) – Pray for the Nation: Pray for those in the nation who are holding positions of authority, e.g. the Attorney-General, the Speaker of the Parliament, the Inspector General of Police, etc. that they will carry out their duties with integrity and responsibility, without fear of favour. Pray that God will grant them wisdom and boldness to always do the right thing. Pray that God will continue to raise up godly, righteous and competent leaders in our nation.
Wednesday, (Nov 8) – Pray for the Youth Service this Saturday, November 11. 2017. As many youths who were invited have exams during this period, pray that this will not hinder them from coming. Pray that the hearts of all the youths will be open to the Lord. Pray for God’s anointing upon the service – the worship, the presentations, and the speaker, Pastor Rudy Chew, that many lives will be impacted and touched. Pray for the fellowship night after the service, that all our youths will be very conscious of the purpose of this and be intentional in mixing around and making friends, so that the pre-believers will find our church a welcoming place.
Thursday, (Nov 9) – Pray for the Sunday School Fund Raising this Sunday, November 12, 2017, which is to sponsor less fortunate children to come for VBS 2017. Praise God that our church members are always very supportive of such projects. Pray that they will give generously towards the sale of T-shirts, food and plants so that sufficient funds will be raised. Pray also for more parents to register their children for VBS 2017, especially for new and younger children to come, even as the older children have “graduated”.
Friday, (Nov 10) – Pray for TRAC: Pray for TRAC President, Rev Dr T. Jeyakumar. As the 42nd Session TRAC draws near (November 25-27, 2017), President has several important matters to do. One is finalizing the pastoral appointments in 2018. Pray for godly wisdom upon President as he seeks God about some final adjustments. Pray for District Superintendents as well as PPRCs who are involved in the process – for effective and loving communication, and above all, despite new situations (appointments) in 2018, God will be there in all TRAC churches with the pastors and congregations.
Saturday, (Nov 11) – Pray for the World: In Tajikistan, the Secret Police and State Religious Committee are discussing the installation of surveillance cameras in all Christian church buildings as they intend to closely monitor all activities. Pray that God will protect His Church in Tajikistan. Pray for courage and strength for the believers, that they will stand strong and steadfast in their faith. Pray that despite all the restrictions, the Church in Tajikistan will continue to grow.
