Sunday, (Oct 29) – Praise God that His promises to us comes by faith, through grace and guaranteed to each one us as spiritual descendants of Abraham. Pray that the Lord will develop in each of us the faith that Abraham had. Pray that we will not weaken in our faith, or waver through unbelief regarding God’s promises to us in the Scriptures. Pray that we will be strengthened in our faith, believing that God has power to do what He has promised. Pray that our faith will be credited to us as righteousness. Thank God that Jesus was delivered over to death for our sins and raised to life for our justification.
Monday, (Oct 30) – Pray for the Nation: The Malaysian Parliament is in session until November 30, 2017. Pray that God’s presence will be over the entire parliament sitting and goodness and righteousness will prevail. Pray that the Lord will strike godly fear and good conscience into the hearts and minds of the MPs to do what is good and right for the rakyat. Pray against any laws or bills that will be detrimental to racial and religious harmony to be passed. Pray for wisdom and boldness for the MPs to speak and act with integrity, justice, and responsibility to uphold the Federal Constitution. Pray against any form of manipulation or erroneous interpretation of the Federal Constitution.
Tuesday, (Oct 31) – Pray for the Youth Service that will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017. Pray for God’s wisdom upon the youths as they prepare for the service (worship leading, liturgy and special presentation). Pray for God’s anointing upon the speaker, Pastor Rudy Chew, that he will have a special word from the Lord to encourage and edify the youths. Pray that many pre-believing youths (especially those from BB & GB) will come even as the youths have been publicizing the service to their friends via Facebook, etc. Pray for the event, Homecoming Night, that will be held after the service that our youths will have a good time connecting with their pre-believing friends, and the youths from BB & GB.
Wednesday, (Nov 1) – The Walk Thru The New Testament Seminar will be held on December 1 & 2, 2017. Pray for a good response from our church members, that we will give priority to come for this seminar. Pray that God will put into the hearts of our people a hunger for His Word, and a desire to get to know Him more through the study of His Word. Pray that daily we will prioritize fellowship with God through the reading His Word, and keeping the communication channel open through prayer. Pray that God will draw near to us as we draw near to Him.
Thursday, (Nov 2) – Pray for the Creative Arts Ministry Team as the team members prepare for the Christmas presentation. Pray that the team members will be sensitive to the guidance of the Holy Spirit as they seek Him, for unity, humility and clarity of mind as they put together the Christmas presentation. Pray for the Lord’s favour and blessing upon the project. Above all, pray that in everything the team plans and does, it will be in accordance to God’s will, and will glorify His name.
Friday, (Nov 3) – Pray for the Methodist Church in Malaysia: Pray for Bishop Ong Hwai Teik, as he has to be present at 5 Annual Conferences & one Provisional Annual Conference, beginning with the Sarawak Iban Annual Conference on November 3, 2017, and ending with TRAC Annual Conference on November 27, 2017. Pray for God’s strength to be upon him. Pray that he will pace himself with adequate rest times between sessions. Pray that God will enable him to say the opportune words to every Annual Conference, and that he will be able to advice the Presidents wisely, especially in moments of great need. Pray for God’s protection upon his wife and daughter during this time.
Saturday, (Nov 4) – Pray for the World: Pray for the distribution of New Testaments in China for Buddhist Background Believers from minority people groups, that God will continue to reveal Himself to these people as they read His Word. Pray also for the translation team involved in the ongoing Old Testament drafting, testing, and checking of several books, for God’s wisdom and protection upon them as they carry out this important work.
