Sunday, (Sept 10) – Pray for the youths, for wisdom to know when to flee from evil, and to have the courage to obey God and do what they know is right. Pray that these young people will take hold of the deep truths of faith so that the enemy will not be able to deceive or outwit them. Pray that God will grant them discernment, so that when they are exposed to teachings, lifestyles, and activities that do not conform with His Word, they will stand firm in the truth, take captive every thought and live in obedience to Christ. Pray that the Lord will pour into them a passion to pursue His things, and above all, to pursue a dynamic and lasting relationship with Him.
Monday, (Sept 11) – Pray for our Orang Asli (OA) Ministry: Praise God for answered prayers, that many of the children who stopped attending our children’s programme on Saturday have returned. Pray that the Lord will revive the Cell Group that was formed some time back – for a strong leader to lead, and committed OAs to regularly attend the CG meetings. Pray that the sharing of God’s Word by the OAs themselves will be a permanent practice and eventually they will be able to undertake the entire worship service by themselves. Pray that God will prepare the hearts of our 3 Bible students to serve when they return on December 1, 2017.
Tuesday, (Sept 12) – Pray for the Malaysia Day Of Prayer 2017 that will be held in Calvary Convention Centre on Saturday, September 16, 2017. Pray for God’s protection over the entire event, and for His presence to lead and guide the worship and prayers. Pray that Christians from all denominations will give priority to attend this Day of Prayer. Pray for a spirit of unity, and for hearts to be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Pray that God will strengthen His Church in Malaysia to be committed to His purposes, to walk the talk, and to be passionate in persevering prayer.
Wednesday, (Sept 13) – The Come Hang Out With Us programme initiated by the Youth Ministry will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2017. Pray that our adults will make an effort to connect with the youths, and take time to get to know them better. Pray that as the adults and youths engage in getting-to-know-you activities, they will have a good time getting to know one another better. Pray for safety and God’s protection upon each group as they go out. Pray also that this event will lead to greater interaction and love between the adults and youths.
Thursday, (Sept 14) – Pray for the Nation: We will be celebrating our 54th year as the nation of Malaysia on Saturday, September 16, 2017. Pray that God will continue to look with favour upon our nation. Pray that Malaysia, by God’s grace, will develop into a strong and steady economy, and a stable and harmonious democracy, in which all citizens are equal, with fundamental liberties protected by the Constitution and a legal framework which protect the weakest and the least. Pray especially that the rights and means of livelihood of the Orang Asal of Sabah and Sarawak, and the Orang Asli in West Malaysia will be legally recognised and safe-guarded, especially their land rights.
Friday, (Sept 15) – Pray for TRAC: Pray for Living Hope Methodist Church in Bukit Rimau/Kota Kemuning. Praise God for the recently completed Second Local Conference and the election of office bearers for 2018. Praise God that Christians from at least 12 different churches availed themselves to join this church a few years ago, and God has blessed the church with a spirit of unity and dependence upon Him. Pray for God’s wisdom upon Pastor Teoh Lee Y’ng and the leaders as they lead the church. Pray for future inroads into the local schools nearby, especially through the scheme of helping poor students with school uniforms and materials. Pray for God’s blessings upon these seeds that are sown.
Saturday, (Sept 16) – Pray for the World: Pray for the Rohingya crisis in Myanmar as thousands of Rohingya people are fleeing the country in search of refuge in Bangladesh. Pray for God’s protection upon these refugees. Pray that the Myanmar government will not turn its back towards these injustices, but do their best to put an end to this crisis.
