Prayer Points: April 14, 2019

Sunday, (Apr 14) – Pray that God will help us to hold onto His unshakable Kingdom when our world is being shaken. Pray that we will remember that while treasures in the world may fail, Christ is the Treasure of all nations. Pray that our zeal for His Kingdom will increase and we will see a greater revelation of His power and glory here on earth. Pray that in a world where people form values based on the shifting tides of opinion, we will be unshakable subjects of an unshakable Kingdom. Pray that God’s Kingdom will come, and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Monday, (Apr 15) – Pray for the Nation: Pray against the spiritual forces of evil and darkness that are working against our government, the Malaysian Church, and the rakyat. Pray that God will open the eyes of those who are in bondage to these evil forces, that He will break all forms of spiritual control over the minds of those who are involved in the forces of darkness. Pray that God will make clear the path for change to come to our nation, and for all hindrances to change to be removed in Jesus’ name.

Tuesday, (Apr 16) – Pray for the World: As we celebrate Easter this coming Sunday (April 21, 2019), pray that the glorious message of Christ’s resurrection will encourage those who continue to face harassment, discrimination, violence, and persecution that they will hold firm in the assurance of the living hope, and be sustained through the comfort of the Holy Spirit. Pray that their perseverance will be a testament to the precious love and grace of Christ.

Wednesday, (Apr 17) – Pray for the Maundy Thursday Service tomorrow. Pray that our church members will purposefully set aside time to come to worship Christ, and to participate in the Sacrament of Holy Communion in remembrance of Jesus’ Last Supper with His disciples, when He instituted the New Covenant that brought about our salvation. Pray for God’s anointing upon Bishop Ho Chee Sin as he delivers the message. Pray for open and humble hearts that are sensitive to listen, respond and obey as the Lord speaks to us. Pray also for good weather and smooth traffic flow.

Thursday, (Apr 18) – Pray for the Good Friday Service tomorrow, for good weather and smooth traffic flow so that people will be able to come for the service. Pray for God’s strength and anointing upon Bishop Ho Chee Sin as he again will deliver the message. Pray that it will be a word in season for the church, that it will not return to God void, but will achieve the purpose for which it has been sent. Pray also for the Good Friday Watch (9:00am – 12noon), that our church members, especially those who are not working, will come to seek the Lord in worship and prayer.

Friday, (Apr 19) – Pray for TRAC: Pray for all TRAC churches during the Holy Week period, especially for the special worship services on Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Generally, the church attendances are greater for these services, as compared to the normal Sunday services. Pray that God’s message of the cross and the empty tomb of Christ will be powerful. Pray that those who lack faith and commitment to Christ will turn towards Him and find the exuberant joy of loving Christ beyond all limiting factors. Pray for a spirit of love and forgiveness to flow again, especially between injured parties as we all look towards God who first loved us and gave His precious Son to die as our atoning sacrifice at Golgotha.

Saturday, (Apr 20) – Pray for good weather and safety tomorrow morning as our 3 Methodist Churches and St Barnabas Church come together to celebrate Christ’s resurrection at the Combined Churches Easter Sunrise Service. Pray that the service will bear testimony of the power of the resurrection. Pray for own Easter Service, for the Creative Arts Ministry Team as it presents the Easter message. Pray that the Holy Spirit will work powerfully through the presentation, and hearts will be touched and lives transformed as we are reminded of the love of God for us as seen through the life of Christ. Pray too that pre-believers will come and be blessed by the Service, and come to know Christ as Savior and Lord.
