Prayer Points: April 21, 2019

Sunday, (Apr 21) – Praise God and give Him all the glory for all the Easter celebrations throughout the world today. Praise God for the resurrection of Christ, that He is already reigning as King of kings and Lord of lords, that all evil dominions, wicked authorities, and malevolent powers now stand defeated, and one day will be fully eradicated. Praise God that because of Christ’s resurrection, we are no longer enslaved to our sins, but are now wrapped in His righteousness, and are hope-filled children of God, filled with the power of the Holy Spirit to live lives worthy of our calling. Pray that the Easter light of life, hope and joy will live in us each day; and that we will be bearers of that light into the lives of others.

Monday, (Apr 22) – Pray for TRAC: Dr Karen Tucker is an expert in the area of liturgy & worship matters. She will be conducting a seminar on tomorrow, April 23, 2019 for TRAC pastors. More than 30 TRAC pastors have signed up. Pray for journey mercies for those travelling from near or far. Pray for God’s leading upon Karen as she trains the pastors. Pray that the pastors will be able to adapt what they have learnt to their local church settings. Pray for a spirit of unity and love to pervade this seminar.

Tuesday, (Apr 23) – The Alpha Marriage Course will begin this Sunday, April 28, 2019 until June, 16, 2019. Praise God for the 7 couples that have signed up. Pray that a few more couples will also sign up. Pray that the couples will give priority to attend the course. Pray that they will put into practice the principles they have learnt, and their marriages will be blessed. Pray for God’s wisdom upon Raymond and Elaine Tan as they facilitate the Marriage Course.

Wednesday, (Apr 24) – Pray for the Nation: The new government still faces many challenges, especially addressing the needs of the ordinary people of Malaysia. Pray that the government will take steps to remedy the inflation by giving suitable relief to the poorer strata of society. There are new cabinet ministers who have financial resources to alleviate the burden of poor families. Pray for wisdom and power on how to execute strategies that will serve this end. Pray also that the children of poor families will receive extra help to enable them to get academic education and ultimately be better off than their parents’ generation.

Thursday, (Apr 25) – Pray that we will desire to have a deeper, more meaningful relationship with God, where we will grow in grace and faith, increase our understanding of Christ, and hear His still, small voice within our souls. Pray that we will learn to be attentive to His voice, that will cause us to walk in righteousness. Pray that we will be aware of the many blessings He bestows upon us, especially the very small ones that we sometimes take for granted. Pray that we will learn to walk in spirit and truth so we may mature in our Christian faith as we study God’s Word and learn to live godly lives in Christ Jesus.

Friday, (Apr 26) – The closing date for registration for the Church Camp 2019 is April 30, 2019. Pray that people who have not registered for the camp will do so. Pray for all those who have registered will be able to come for the camp. Pray for Pastor Benny Ho, for God’s wisdom and anointing upon him as he prepares the messages for the camp. Pray also for the members of the Camp Committee as they continue to prepare for the camp.

Saturday, (Apr 27) – Pray for the World: Pray for Pakistani and Vietnamese Christians asylum-seekers in Thailand, whom the government will not recognize as refuges. Pray for a change of policy by the Thai government, and for the release of believers held in conditions sometimes worse than jail simply because they have tried to escape discrimination or persecution in their homeland. Pray for Thais converts from Buddhism, who often face family opposition. Pray they will be strengthened in their faith.
