Sunday, (Apr 8) – Pray that God will help us make every Sabbath to be centred around Him, and for wisdom to combine both physical and spiritual rest. Pray that we will learn to quiet our hearts, rest our souls and refocus our spirits. Pray that the Holy Spirit will help us to be intentional with our time and worship, and encourage us to find rest in God alone. Pray that we will learn to relax in His presence so that we will be able to put things in perspective and our stresses will melt away. Pray that during our Sabbaths we will learn to take our minds off our work and problems, release them to the Lord and find our rest in Him.
Monday, (Apr 9) – Pray for the Nation: As the Malaysian Parliament has been dissolved paving the way for GE14, pray for a strong hedge of God’s protection upon the nation during this time of national decision. Pray against attacks from enemies that seek to incite violence / trouble before, during and after the elections that could delay or prevent the elections. Pray for the political parties to ensure that their candidates, polling and counting agents, and supporters will be civil and respectful towards one another before, during and after the polls, and to accept the election results, regardless of the outcome, and not undermine the peace of the nation.
Tuesday, (Apr 10) – Praise God for blessing the ElShaddai Refugee Learning Centre with about 600 children in preschool and primary, and another 50 in secondary school. Praise God that the teachers and helpers are visiting the students’ families, so that they will understand the home situation of the students and be able to share God’s love and pray for them. Pray for all the teachers that they will see teaching in the school as a ministry and an opportunity to help change lives. Pray for patience as they deal with difficult students, and for unity among the teachers. Pray for students who are struggling with school work, many of whom are affected by difficult circumstances in their lives.
Wednesday, (Apr 11) – Pray for the World: The number of Christians in Iraq decreases each year. Pray that God will change the hearts of those who continue to drive Christians out of the country. Pray that the churches in the city Mosul will be rebuilt and that Christians will continue to encourage one another and stay strong in their faith, and pray for their nation.
Thursday, (Apr 12) – Pray for the Pacaba training that will be held in St Barnabas Church on Sunday, April 15, 2018. Pray that many from the public will respond and come for this training. Pray for the Lord’s protection upon everyone and that everything will run smoothly and peacefully. Pray for God’s wisdom upon the trainer, Lai Teck Ming, so that those who go for the training will understand what is expected of them on polling day, and they will make it a priority to be responsible polling and counting agents to ensure that the elections will be just and fair.
Friday, (Apr 13) – Pray for TRAC: Pray for Wesley Methodist Church Ipoh in the area of the harvesting of souls as the church is reaching out to the youths in schools and the community. Pray for God’s wisdom and favour upon the pastor, Rev Dr Timothy Ong and all the church leaders. Pray that God will grant them creative ways to reach out to the pre-believers in the community, and especially the students in Wesley Methodist School Ipoh. Pray for continuing zeal to do God’s work in Ipoh.
Saturday, (Apr 14) – Pray for the Combined Klang / Port Klang Pastors’ Fellowship Churches Prayer Night on Sunday, April 15, 2018, in St Barnabas Church. Pray for God’s wisdom and guidance upon the speaker, Ms Chrisanne Chin, as she will be speaking on praying for the nation for such a time as this. Pray that many Christians from all the various different churches in our community will come to listen and pray. Pray for a spirit of unity. Pray for God’s protection over everyone and the entire meeting, and for good weather.
