Sunday (Dec 23) – Pray for the World: Ahead of Christmas, Chinese authorities have continued their ongoing crackdown on underground Protestant churches in China. Pray that God will pour out a spirit of encouragement, love, grace and strength upon His people in China. Pray that He will grant them joy, hope and peace during this Christmas season in spite of all the restrictions. Pray that what the enemy meant for evil, God will turn it for the good of His Kingdom.
Monday (Dec 24) – Pray for our Christmas Service tomorrow. Pray that everything planned will flow smoothly, especially the Christmas Drama. Pray for good health and strength for all those taking part, and that the sound system will function well. Pray for good weather and smooth traffic flow. Pray that the Holy Spirit will prepare the hearts of the congregation so that the message of the Christmas Drama will impact them to examine their own lives, and to surrender the throne of their lives to Christ. Pray for a spirit and love and joy to prevail. Most importantly, pray that Jesus will be exalted and glorified as King of kings and Lord of lords.
Tuesday (Dec 25) – Pray that during this week between Christmas and the New Year, we will set aside time to think and pray over this year, reflecting on what we did well, and what we want to work on as we plan for the new year ahead. Pray that we will honestly examine our lives before the searchlight of the Holy Spirit in the area of our relationship with the Lord and our spiritual growth, our relationship with the people in our lives, especially our family members, our values and priorities, and how we are doing in the area of missional living. Pray that this time of reflection will help us plan out goals and priorities for 2019 that are in line with God’s will for our lives.
Wednesday (Dec 26) –. The new school year for 2019 will begin next Wednesday, January 2, 2019. Thursday (Dec 27) – Pray for the Klang Pastors’ Fellowship Christmas-New Year Celebration that will be held on Sunday, December 30, 2018 in the Mar Thoma Church, Klang. Although the emphasis is more on the Christian community, pray that many believers will invite their pre-believer relatives and friends to come for this event. Pray for the programme to run smoothly, and that the presentations by the African Kids’ Choir and other items from various churches in Klang will focus on Christ and His Gospel. Pray also for good weather and smooth traffic flow.
Friday (Dec 28) – Pray for TRAC: Pray for Jeremiah School 2019 (JS 2019). Praise God that after the initial slow registration, there are 27 participants (full house), comprising 18 boys and 9 girls. There are also 7 part-time / fulltime mentors. JS 2019 will begin in the first week of January 2019. Pray that all the participants will persevere during JS 2019, and be challenged to take their spiritual walk with Christ seriously. Pray that after JS 2019 ends (end of February 2019), God will watch over every participant and shield them from enemy attacks. Pray that local churches will continue to follow through on JS participants and provide discipleship and leadership development for them.
Saturday (Dec 29) – Pray for the Nation: As 2018 comes to an end, thank God for paving the way for a new government to come in power this year. Pray for justice to be served, especially as the Attorney General carries out litigation against people who cheated Malaysia out of millions of ringgit. Pray that all those who willfully broke the law in this area will be brought to justice and face the consequences of their wrongdoing. Pray for wisdom and God’s protection upon the Prime Minister and all in the government.
