Sunday, (Feb 24) – Thank God that He has given to each of His children specific gifts. Pray that we will not neglect the gifts He has given to us, but that we will be found faithful in using these gifts we have received for the purposes He intended – for the work of ministry and for edifying the Body of Christ. Pray that God will give us courage to use these gifts, and the humility to not use them for our glory, but for Him and His glory, and always acknowledge Him as the Giver of all gifts. Pray that we will spend more time thanking God for His gifts to the church, and less time complaining about the church.
Monday, (Feb 25) – The TRAC Lent Meditation booklets are on sale. The aim of these meditations is to point us to Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, so that we will grow into His likeness as we surrender to Him, and increasingly die to ourselves, and bear much fruit for His glory as we abide in Him. Pray that many of our church members will buy these meditations to help them prepare for Easter as they reflect, pray and fast to prepare their hearts to commemorate the death and resurrection of Christ.
Tuesday, (Feb 26) – Pray for the Nation: Pray for the Semenyih by-election of the State Assembly seat in Selangor on March 2, 2019. There are several under currents pertaining to this by-election. Although it is less than a year since GE14, the new coalition in power, Pakatan Harapan, faces the challenge of the Malay community’s support for it. In a democratic nation, healthy competition is a good sign. However, pray that the person of God’s choice will win the seat. Pray that both the ruling party and the Opposition will always play fair come election time, and uphold the democratic principle in Malaysia.
Wednesday, (Feb 27) – Pastor Damien Chua will be giving a talk on marriage on Sunday, March 3, 2019, after the Sunday Worship Service. He will be sharing on his marriage with his wife, their struggles at the beginning of their married life, and how God miraculously brought healing and restoration to them as a couple. Pray that the talk will be well attended by married couples, as well as those who are planning to get married. Pray that our church members will also invite their friends and relatives for the talk. Pray that all who attend will be blessed and encouraged by the talk, and God will bless their marriages, as they put into practice the Biblical principles for a godly marriage.
Thursday, (Feb 28) – The youths will be having a fund-raising event on Sunday, March 3, 2019, after the Sunday Worship Service to raise funds for their up-coming Youth Camp on March 27-30, 2019. The main objective for the fund-raising is to help to subsidize needy youths for the registration fees, especially for the youths from the El-Shaddai Refugee Learning Centre. The youths will be selling food, Tshirts from their previous Youth Camps, as well as other ways of raising funds. Thank God for the generosity of our church members, who have always given full support for the youths’ fund-raising efforts in the past, and pray that they will continue to support them this year.
Friday, (Mar 1) – Pray for TRAC: Trinity Methodist Church, PJ has launched their Christian Education programme in 2019 under the theme: Everyone a Disciple of Christ (Colossians 2:6-7). All the major classes begin on March 3, 2019. Pray for good enrolment. Pray that each disciple will understand the meaning of discipleship and put the practical lessons into action. Pray too for the teacher-facilitators in each class to grow strong in the Lord.
Saturday, (Mar 2) – Pray for the World: Pray that God will encourage, teach, guide and strengthen His children throughout the world who cannot meet together to worship Him; those whose hostile, unbelieving families will not let them go to church; those who are secret believers, their faith known to the Lord; and those who live so far from any other Christian that there is no one whom they can meet with for worship and spiritual growth. Pray that God will bless all of them with the knowledge of His presence as they abide in Him.
