Sunday, (Jan 13) – Pray that we will desire to build strong character so that our lives will reflect a character that is separate from that of this world, as we seek to be a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a people belonging to God. As we seek to be morally pure like Christ, pray that He will help us to be rid of all hatred, meanness, unforgiveness, cruelty to others, all deceit and hypocrisy, any envy towards others and slander of every kind. Pray that the Lord will grant us strength and courage as we face the many decisions to divert from His plan of truth and righteousness, and help us to make conscious decisions every day to not be conformed to the pattern of this world, but to seek higher ground that mirrors His laws of righteousness.
Monday, (Jan 14) – Praise God for all the married couples in our church. Pray that husbands and wives will treasure their relationship with each other, will see marriage as a precious gift, and will continually pray for each other. Pray that they will grow together as they face life’s challenges. Pray that husbands and fathers will re-establish their God-ordained position as head of their own families, and become men who will courageously lead their wives and children into deeper spiritual knowledge and understanding of Christ. Pray that wives will clothe themselves in humility and love as they submit to their own husbands in truth and love, and live out their life as godly women.
Tuesday, (Jan 15) – Pray for the Nation: Pray for the Conference of Rulers to be filled with wisdom and strength as they come together to elect a new Agong. Pray that the rulers will be able to discern wisely the right person to be the next Agong, a person who has the wisdom, knowledge, skills, and who is fully committed to exercise the demanding responsibilities expected of the Agong. Pray that the new Agong will be able to work well with the PM and the government, and lead the nation towards greater racial unity and religious freedom.
Wednesday, (Jan 16) – There will be the budget presentation of Klang Wesley for 2019 on the weekend services of January 19 & 20, 2019. Praise God for His continued faithfulness to our church finances throughout the years. Pray that God will move in the hearts of our church members to give faithfully, regularly and generously to the work of ministry in our church. Praise God for the members of the Stewardship & Finance Committee for their faithfulness in managing our church accounts, and pray for wisdom as they oversee the church budget for 2019.
Thursday, (Jan 17) – Some of the students of Jeremiah School (JS) 2019 will be visiting our church over the weekend of January 19 & 20, 2019. Continue to pray for all the 27 JS students (including Ruth Lim, Mike Choo & Ashley Jeremiah from our church) that Jeremiah School will be a rich and rewarding spiritual experience for them, and they will always be rooted in Christ.
Friday, (Jan 18) – Pray for TRAC: Pray for the families of TRAC pastors. Pray for God’s protection upon them. Pray that they will fit well into their respective congregations, especially for those who have moved to a new church this year. Pray that they will always maintain a close relationship with the Lord, and be able to draw strength and grace from Him at all times. Pray that they will be an encouragement to their church members. Pray that the pastors will manage their families well, and will always have quality time with their wives and children in spite of their busy schedules.
Saturday, (Jan 19) – Pray for the World: Praise God for the tremendous Church growth in Nepal in recent years. Pray that God will equip the Nepali Christians with wisdom and boldness to be His witnesses to the people of Nepal. A new law came into force in Nepal in September 2018 that any public Christian activity is potentially illegal. Pray that God will protect His people, and they will be able to continue to share the Gospel.
