Sunday, (Jun 2) – The Church Camp 2019 ends tomorrow. Pray for journey mercies for everyone as the people travel home. Praise God for blessing us with a good time: for the times of worship and listening to His Word, for the times of relaxation and fun, and of interacting and connecting with one another, especially with the people we do not know very well. Pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to work in the lives of the people, that we will put into practice all that He has impressed upon us in the camp. Pray that we will study and apply God’s Word to our lives each day. Pray that we will make this a discipline of the mind and heart, empowered by the Holy Spirit, so that we will be transformed each day more and more into Christ’s likeness.
Monday, (Jun 3) – Praise the Lord that He is sovereign and is always in control of every and any situation, and that there isn’t anything that will enter our lives that God does not either decree or allow. Praise God that He is a good and generous Father, and that our prayers are a reminder of our dependence upon God and of His ability and willingness to provide what His children need. Pray that we will learn to see God as He longs for us to see Him, so that our faith will be transformed and we will experience peace like never before.
Tuesday, (Jun 4) – Pray for the Nation: Pray that the new government will be united in vision to build a multi-religion and multi-racial nation. Pray that the nation’s leaders will learn to put aside their differences, and work in harmony together for the good of the nation. Pray that God will raise up selfless leaders and remove elements that divide and propagate segregation for selfish reasons. Pray that God will silence those who mock righteous acts, integrity and equality for all races. Pray that corruption will be totally wiped out, and for righteousness and justice to prevail.
Wednesday, (Jun 5) – Pray for the Orang Asli (OA) ministry in our church. Pray for the 3 OA pastors and the OA leaders to grow in ministry, and more importantly, to grow in personal spirituality and deepen their relationship with Christ. Pray that the OA children will catch the sincere faith of the adults, and live it out vibrantly. Pray for God’s grace upon the OA kids, that they will study / work hard, and take responsibility to bring their people out of poverty. Pray also for God’s protection and favour upon the OA teams who go faithfully every Saturday to the OA villages.
Thursday, (Jun 6) – Praise God for the Sit Down Exercises that take place every Saturday morning, organized by the Community Services Committee. Pray for God’s protection and safety upon everyone who comes for the exercises. Pray for God’s blessing upon this activity, that it will strengthen the muscles and promote good health for the participants. Pray that our church members will use this as an opportunity to invite their pre-believing relative and friends to come for the Sit Down Exercises.
Friday, (Jun 7) – Pray for TRAC: Some TRAC churches have built good relationship with Muslim communities in the vicinity or through friendships. These church members have been invited to visit their Muslim friends during the Hari Raya holidays. Pray that these ties will be strengthened, that love will flow between Muslims and their non-Muslim friends. Pray for church leadership in TRAC churches to work out ways in the future to further invest in relationship building with non-Christian communities, and especially to help the poor and needy in these communities.
Saturday, (Jun 8) – Pray for the World: Sometimes, non-Christians are sent to attend Christian worship services to listen for any “illegal” statements and report them to the authorities. This can be done secretly, as spies, for example in Iran, or openly as state officials, for example in Laos. Pray for these individuals, that the Holy Spirit will touch them through the preaching of God’s Word and the worship and testimonies of the believers, and that many of them will give their lives to Christ.
