Sunday, (Mar 31) – Pray that whatever our circumstances, whatever fears or anxieties we have, whatever darkness may lurk on the horizon, whatever is happening in the world around us, we will be confident that God is our salvation and our joy. When things around us seem confusing and hopeless, pray that the Lord will fill us with incredible hope in His goodness, grace and sovereignty over all things. During the times when we have unanswered questions, and when our prayers seem to go unheard, pray that God will keep us close to Him, help us always to trust in Him, and to live by faith, even though we cannot see everything and may not understand how He is working.
Monday, (Apr 1) – Pray for the Nation: Sandakan MP Stephen Wong died of a heart attack last Thursday, March 28, 2019. Pray that God will comfort and grant His peace to members of the Wong family and the people of Sandakan. Pray for God’s protection upon all the MPs of our nation, that He will grant them good health to carry out their service unto the nation. Pray that God will grant wisdom to our Prime Minister and his cabinet to bring healing and recovery to this land.
Tuesday, (Apr 2) – Pray for the World: Pray for pastors, church-planters and evangelists who are serving the Lord in the face of opposition and violence in places where Christians are a despised minority. Pray that the Holy Spirit will equip and empower them spiritually, and meet their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs. Pray for protection from those who persecute and attack them. Pray also that their ministries will be fruitful in lives transformed by the Gospel.
Wednesday, (Apr 3) – As we continue with our 21-Day Prayer Meeting, pray that the Holy Spirit will give us the desire to gather in humble obedience to worship, hear God’s Word and pray. Pray that the Lord will anoint each person who comes, and that as we come into His presence to seek Him, His powerful hand will bring breakthroughs, healing, awakening and transformation in the lives of our people, in the ministries in our church, and in the nation. Pray that God will remove indifference and complacency from our lives, and give us a hunger and thirst to want to know Him and love Him more.
Thursday, (Apr 4) – Keep in prayer the worship services during Holy Week (Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Combined Churches Easter Sunrise Service & our own Easter Service). Pray that our church members will give priority to come for these services: to worship the Lord, to come before Him in humble self-examination, and seek Him for spiritual renewal. Pray for God’s anointing and wisdom upon Bishop Ho Chee Sin, who will be delivering the messages on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, that through him, the Lord will give a word in season for our church. Pray also for God’s protection upon the Creative Arts Ministry Team as they prepare for the presentation for Easter.
Friday, (Apr 5) – Pray for TRAC: The Institute for Christian Ministry (TRAC) was formed in 2008 to provide avenues for Christians to grow spiritually through retreats and training in spiritual formation, as well as leadership and ministry development. The upcoming Lenten retreat (April 5-7, 2019) is entitled: Forgiven to Forgive. Pray for Rev Peggy Seow who is the retreat facilitator, as she guides the people coming for this retreat. Pray that all will experience a fresh encounter with Christ and find the liberating power to forgive, like never before. Pray for journey mercies as people travel up to Frasers’ Hill.
Saturday, (Apr 6) – The service of Baptism & Reception into Church Membership will be held tomorrow (April 7, 2019) at 8:30am. Pray for all the adults and youths who will be getting baptized that their baptism will be a true outward declaration of their inward change of heart and status in Christ. Pray that they will continue to grow in grace to be faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. Pray also for the people that as they witness the service of Baptism & Reception into Church Membership, their faith and commitment to Christ will be refreshed and renewed.
