Sunday, (May 12)– Thank God for all mothers: for the busy moms, who juggle the pressures of home and family life; for the steadfast moms, who nurture and care for their children; for the stay-at-home moms, working moms, and moms who have some combination of the two, for their flexibility, tirelessness, perseverance and devotion for their children; for the patient moms, who always seek to forgive and engage with their pre-teens and teens; for the new moms, who endure sleepless nights with infants in arms; for the aunts, who step in to care for nieces and nephews; for all grandmas, who love and support their precious grandchildren; for all spiritual mothers, who mentor, care for and lead children to grow in their faith. Pray for God’s favour and blessing upon all of them.
Monday, (May 13) – Pray that we will come before God with humble and repentant hearts, confessing that so often our thoughts are so negative, so self-deprecating, judgmental, destructive, uncharitable, which are a reflection of our own brokenness. Thank God for this amazing truth of forgiveness that is ours if we are truly contrite in our hearts. Pray that we will bring before Him every flaw and defection, known and hidden, so He will fill the cracks and crevices of our brokenness with His healing touch. Pray that He will wash and cleanse us, and give us new hearts that will always love and honour Him.
Tuesday, (May 14) – Pray for the Nation: Praise God for directing the steps of our new government for the past year, allowing righteousness and justice to be restored in our nation. Pray that God will silence all trouble makers who are bent on disrupting the work of the government. Pray that the Church in Malaysia will continue to pray fervently for the needs of the nation.
