Sunday, (May 13) – Thank God for creating each mother with a unique combination of gifts and talents, for the sacrifice of self each mother gives for her children, for the gift of time mothers give for their kids, whether it’s stay-at-home mothers, working mothers, or mothers who have some combination of the two. Pray that God will give each mother strength, and help her to see in every mundane task the eternal significance that He has placed on motherhood. Pray that the Lord will be the daily bread and living water of tired mothers. Pray that He will be their source of spiritual and physical strength. Pray that we will love and cherish the special women who have given birth to us, nurtured us, and prayed for our well-being.
Monday, (May 14) – Pray for the Nation: Praise and glorify God for GE14, that it was a peaceful election and a new government has been elected for the nation. Pray for a smooth and peaceful transition of government. Pray against any schemes or plots to disrupt or derail the formation of the new government. Pray for the new PM and the incoming cabinet to remain true to their pact and avowed purposes for putting the nation first. Pray that this new government will be one that is righteous and upright, serving the nation with clean hands and pure hearts. Pray for God’s wisdom upon the government as it seeks to rebuild the nation and move to set right years of destructive policies, repressive laws, division and disunity.
Tuesday, (May 15) – The Muslim fasting month of Ramadan will begin tomorrow. Pray for hospitals as this month begins. Usually hospitals are short of blood donors during this period. Pray that there will be sufficient blood bank reserves for people in need. Pray for all Muslim hospital staff that they will be able to get sufficient rest and eat properly at allotted times so that they will be able carry out their duties normally and efficiently.
Wednesday, (May 16) – The Methodist Women (MW) will be having a talk on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 2:30pm, on How To Bring Good News To The Poor & Needy Children. Pray for God’s wisdom upon the speaker, Brother Jesse Teh. Pray for good attendance, that the people will come with open hearts and minds to learn how they can be God’s agents of change to the poor and needy children in our community. Pray that from this talk, the MW will be able to formulate concrete plans and strategies to reach out to bless poor and needy children.;
Thursday, (May 17) – The Youth Service will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018. Pray for the Lord’s wisdom and guidance upon the youths as they take charge of the service. Pray for God’s grace upon the worship enablers – the worship team, the sound and media team, the liturgist and the ushers and greeters as they serve in the various different areas. Pray that the youths will invite their friends and school mates to the service, and that there will be positive responses. Pray that the youths from the Boys’ & Girls’ Brigades will also come. Pray God’s wisdom upon the speaker, Ms Joanna Dorai, that what she says will impact the believing youths to desire to deepen their relationship with Jesus, while the pre-believing youths will desire to get to know Him more.
Friday, (May 18) – Pray for TRAC: Many TRAC churches have been praying diligently for GE14, and many would be satisfied with the new government being recently elected. Pray that all TRAC churches will continue to pray for Malaysia, the new Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir and the new cabinet ministers, all members of Parliament and State Assemblies. Pray that TRAC pastors will always encourage their sheep to engage in prayer and especially in corporate prayer. Pray that pastors and church leaders will be the pillars of the prayer ministries in their churches.
Saturday, (May 19) – Pray for the World: Praise God that the Church in South Sudan is greatly respected because it provides visible unity across political and tribal divisions in the country. Pray that Christians will demonstrate by their lives how different ethnic groups can co-exist in harmony, and pray that God will bless with success the peace-making efforts of His people.
