Prayer Points: May 26, 2019

Sunday, (May 26) – Pray that when we face the storms of life we will ask Jesus to come into our storms and give us the peace we need. Pray that we will trust Him that even in severe, stormy times He is with us, and we will turn to Him rather than worry or be afraid. Pray that we will remember the ways He rescued and cared for us in the past, that this reminder will strengthen our faith through life’s storms, and help us to trust Him regardless of what comes. Pray that during the times of trials and tribulations, the Lord will help us to discover for ourselves who He is, not only in our minds, but also in practical trust and confidence.

Monday, (May 27) – The Mid-year School holidays began last Saturday, May 25, 2019, for a 2-week break. Pray that the students will use this break for rest and relaxation, and use the opportunity to refresh their spiritual and bodily batteries. Pray for families as they go for holiday, that God will watch over them as they travel and protect them from all difficulties and dangers, and grant them relaxation, joy and family bonding. Pray for safety for children who have to stay home because their parents are working. Pray that Christian children will not forget the Lord just because they are away from their normal routine, but will keep close to Him.

Tuesday, (May 28) – Pray for the World: In Indonesia last week, at least eight people were killed in two days of post-election riots in Central Jakarta, while hundreds required medical care. Pray that peace and calm will reign and the demonic and human forces of evil will be restrained from further violence, rioting and killing. Pray that irresponsible extremist elements will not turn this into a religious issue. Pray for protection for President Joko Widodo and his government, and their families.

Wednesday, (May 29) – Pray for the Nation: Pray for God’s divine protection over every border along the shorelines of Malaysia against any terrorist activity, kidnappers, pirates. Pray also against any human traffickers, drug traders / pushers trying to secretly enter our nation. Pray for those in the police force and military services to be watchful and vigilant in protecting the rakyat, and in keeping our nation safe. Pray for God’s protection upon them as they carry out their duties.

Thursday, (May 30) –. Pray for the Church Camp 2019 (May 31-June 3, 2019). Pray for journey mercies for everyone going for the camp, and for God’s hand of protection throughout the camp. Pray for the people to prepare their hearts and spirits, for an openness during the worship times, teaching sessions and morning devotions. Pray that they will have a willingness to learn, and challenge themselves to grow in spiritual maturity as they put into practice the principles of discipleship. Pray for God’s anointing upon Pastor Benny Ho, that God will give him practical and powerful messages in the area of discipleship. Pray for good times of connecting and bonding between the people, and for fun and safety as they participate in all the activities in the camp.

Friday, (May 31) – Pray for TRAC: Pray for Missions Work in TRAC. TRAC President and a team of TRAC leaders were involved in missions work in Sabah recently (May 21-25, 2019). One event was the dedication of the student hostel, Rumah Harapan Ulu Sapi. Pray that this hostel will be blessed by God to strengthen the faith of the students, and help them grow academically. Pray for the hostel wardens. Pray that TRAC ties with Sabah will increase in the times ahead.

Saturday, (Jun 1) –Pray for the ongoing Alpha programmes: the Alpha Marriage Course, that the couples will be able to come for the remaining 2 weeks. Pray that they will endeavor to put into practice all that they have learnt, and that God will bless them with strong, healthy and lasting marriage relationships that will last a lifetime. Pray also for the 8-week Youth Alpha programme that began on May 19, 2019. Pray that the youths will be faithful in attending. Pray for hearts and spirits to be open to the work of the Holy Spirit as the youths go through the basics of the Christian faith, that they will be transformed spiritually, and grow in maturity in their faith.
