Sunday, (Nov 3) – Praise God for the children in our church. Thank Jesus for showing us the value of these little ones. Pray that we will learn to have the attitude of a child – to trust God more, to love more, to be open more to what God and others have to teach us. Pray that we will have the simple faith of children, to be fully aware of our needs and dependence on God’s grace. Pray also for the children’s ministry in our church. Pray that parents and grandparents will make it a priority for their little ones to diligently attend Sunday School every Sunday, and for more children to come for Sunday School. Pray that parents will take their role as the primary spiritual caregivers for their children seriously.
Monday, (Nov 4) – Pray for the Nation: Pray for unity in the component parties that make up the Pakatan Harapan government, that the members will support one another, and all will amicably agree to the appointment of the next Prime Minister. Pray also for the voice of moderation to get more support, and that those who speak up for the non-Muslims, and against racism and extremism will have God’s divine favour and protection. Pray that the rakyat will make a concerted stand for racial harmony in the nation, and to see ourselves as Malaysians, and not according to our ethnic roots.
Tuesday, (Nov 5) – Praise God for the Leaders’ Retreat that was held last weekend, for all the LCEC and Cell Group Leaders who came together to seek the Lord for the year ahead. Pray that God’s wisdom, strength and power to be constantly present in them. Pray that God will keep their footsteps firm, on solid ground, helping them to be consistent and faithful. Pray for supernatural endurance to stay the course, not swerving to the right or to the left, or being too easily distracted by other things that would seek to call them away from a close walk with the Lord. Pray that our leaders will be faithful to carry out the plans the Lord has revealed to them in the year ahead.
Wednesday, (Nov 6) – Praise God that Klang Wesley is an inter-generational church where children, youth, young adults, older and senior adults gather to worship God each week. Praise God that our church is creating an environment that nurtures children as well as adults in worship and community. Pray that there will be generational discipleship, where our faith is passed on from one generation to another through relationship within a community of faith: that the adults will provide role models for the youths and children; and the children and youths will learn to value the older adults. Pray that all the age groups in church will learn to love each other more, and to serve the Lord together.
Thursday, (Nov 7) – There will be many Christian camps for children and youths during the year end school holidays, such as our church’s Holiday Camp for kids, Youth Leadership Development Programme (TRAC), Teen Street by Operation Mobilisation, and camps by other churches / organisations. Pray that the children and youths will sign up to attend some of these camps, where they will learn to develop an authentic faith in Christ, and be rooted and built up in Him so they will be able to stand against the values and deceptions of the world.
Friday, (Nov 8) – Pray for TRAC: The Raub Orang Asli (OA) Hostel was dedicated on October 31, 2019. Praise God that the certificate of completion and compliance was granted a few days before the dedication service. Pray that this hostel will be a centre of learning (both academic and spiritual), and will see OA children progressing further with their education in the years to come. Pray for God’s protective hand to be upon all the stay-in children and wardens. Pray also for good management (wholistic sense) of all Christian-based hostels in Malaysia to help the OA students.
Saturday, (Nov 9) – Pray for the World: Pray that God will continue to protect His people in North Korea, and to provide for all their needs. Pray that the Christians will be strengthened in their faith to continue to follow Christ in spite of all the hardships. Pray that the children of secret believers who do not know of their parents’ faith will hear the Gospel and make their own decision to follow Jesus.
