Sunday, (Sep 1) – Praise God that we have been born of the Spirit, sealed by the Spirit, and indwelt by the Spirit. Pray that the Lord will pour into Klang Wesley a fresh work of the Holy Spirit, into the lives of the people, and into all the ministries of our church. Pray that all of us will recognise the Spirit’s movement in our lives, and be sensitive to Him, so we can follow Him more closely. Pray that as we yield to the Spirit’s transforming power, He will grow His fruit in our lives, and produce in us love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Pray that the Spirit will give us the strength and courage of Pentecost to tell others the Gospel of Jesus.
Monday, (Sep 2) – Even as Jesus healed a deaf and mute man in Mark 7:31-37, pray that He will heal us, not of physical deafness, but spiritual deafness, that is one of the primary causes of conflict in marriages and families, in relationships with one another, in nations, and in the world. When we are deaf to the teaching of Jesus, judgment triumphs over mercy, and indifference rather than love defines our relationships with one another. Pray that not only our ears, but also our hearts, will be open to the healing and transforming power of Christ, so that we will be reconnected to God, and to one another, that we will experience new life, new beginnings, new hope, and new possibilities.
Tuesday, (Sep 3) – Pray for the Nation: As the nation moves towards Malaysia Day on September 16, pray for the Christians in the nation to be fervently engaged in prayer and intercession for the needs of the nation. Pray that the Church of Malaysia will arise to shine like stars in our nation; to arise like salt to be a preserving and godly influence in our nation; to arise to bring many to the Light of Christ; and to arise to be agents of national transformation through godly and righteous living.
Wednesday, (Sep 4) – Pray for the ministry of Migrant Ministry Klang (MMK). Pray for their 3rd National Diaspora Symposium (a bi yearly conference), which will be held on 26-28, September, 2019, that it will achieve the purpose of mobilizing churches to be involved in missions today, which has changed due to globalization. Pray also for their Education on Wheels, which provides an avenue for MMK personnel to engage with refugee schools that may not have the facilities or books for the students. As MMK plans to start an English Club in each place they visit, and intentionally use Bible stories to do language study, pray that God will protect and bless the project, and grant them success.
Thursday, (Sep 5) – Pray for TRAC: The TRAC Joint Board meeting will begin in PDMC tomorrow to Sunday (September 6-8, 2019). This is when all the board members of the various boards in TRAC meet to evaluate their current programmes, and plan for the future. Pray for journey mercies. Pray for a spirit of harmony and unity. Pray for President, Rev Jeyakumar, as he gives general oversight to all the boards. Pray that God will refresh his heart and spirit to lead with boldness. Pray that fellow TRAC board members will truly address neglected issues in TRAC with relevant action plans.
Friday, (Sep 6) – Pray for greater integration between the youths in Boys’ Brigade, Girls’ Brigade, and our own youths. Pray for God’s wisdom and guidance upon the BB & GB captains and our youth leaders as they meet periodically to discuss ways and means for all these youths to meet and get to know one another better. Pray that concrete plans will be made, and our youths will be able to connect and befriend the BB & GB youths, so that these BB & GB youths will be open to joining our youth activities like Youth Camp and Youth Services, have an opportunity to get to know Christ.
Saturday, (Sep 7) – Pray for the World: Christian publishers in the US warned in June that the 25% tariff prosed by the Trump administration on products from China. Including books, could threaten the production of Bibles. China prints more Bibles than any other country, and exports them to publishing houses around the world. The extra costs imposed might mean that the printing of the Bible in certain languages is no longer viable. Pray that the Lord will give President Trump a discerning heart to govern, and to distinguish between right and wrong.
