Sunday, (Feb 6) – Praise and thanks be to God for He desires to have a relationship with us who are made in His image. Pray that we as a church will likewise desire to have a relationship with God. Pray that in our usual daily routine we will experience God’s tangible presence with us. Pray also that in our daily encounters with people, we will learn to respond to another with love, grace and kindness. Pray that our actions and words towards one another to be uplifting and be a source of encouragement to one another.
Monday, (Feb 7) – Pray for the Church Leadership – Commit to the Lord the leaders of Wesley Methodist Church, Klang. Pray that our church leaders will learn to walk closely with the Lord. Pray that our leaders will allow themselves to be guided by the still small voice of our Lord. Pray for the work of the Holy Spirit to be evident in the lives of our members. Commit to the Lord the upcoming First Local Conference that would be held on the 9th of February. Pray that through the conference we would be able to see God’s hand moving in our church.
Tuesday, (Feb 8) – Pray for God to open more doors for Yew On and Chern Chern to share and speak about missions in Malaysian churches and cell groups. Pray that churches and individuals will be missional locally and globally. Pray for their continuous work in Cambodia, especially the cleft ministry, to be a blessing to those affected by clefts and brings a positive impact on people’s life. Pray also for the younger generation to become involved in missions. Pray that webinars and dialogues between generations, communications between home and field sides and mentorship build better understanding and see more millennials involved in missions.
Wednesday, (Feb 9) – Pray for the Nation: Pray that the new number of daily Covid-19 cases, which has been hovering around 5,000 mark, does not increase any higher, particularly during the Chinese New Year’s festive period. Pray that the rakyat would continue to adhere to and follow the SOPs in place in order to avert infection. Pray for students, teachers, and situations to be brought under control, in view of the staggering increase in Covid-19 clusters after the start of the school session in 2022. Pray that our healthcare system is well-prepared to handle the increasing number of Omicron cases with the increased vaccination rate.
Thursday, (Feb 10) – Pray for TRAC: Pray for all the respective District Superintendents in TRAC. Pray for God’s grace to be upon them as they enter into a busy season of holding Local Conferences in their respective districts. Pray for good time management and pray that in the midst of busyness, our DSs are able to take time to connect with God. Pray for a smooth running of all the Local Conferences in TRAC. Pray for God to speak to all the leaderships of the churches in TRAC with clarity.
Friday, (Feb 11) – Pray for God’s protection upon children, especially those who have not been vaccinated. As the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme for Children has been kicked off, pray for God’s wisdom upon the Health Ministry and parents, and for adequate information and advice to be updated for public understanding and action. Pray that children will continue to wear masks and wash hands diligently while at school. Pray for God’s protection and wisdom upon teachers and school staffs, and as well as for protection against Covid clusters in the educational sector.
Saturday (Feb 12) – Pray for the World: Winter Olympics have begun in Beijing. Pray for wisdom upon the International Olympic Committee and Chinese authorities as they lead the events. Pray for protection upon the athletes, officials, media, employees, volunteers and residents, especially athletes’ both physical and mental well-being as they face immense stress in preparation for competition as well as everyday protocols to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Pray that the name of Jesus is exalted throughout the
international games, as He is the Maker of all, Prince of Peace who has created in Himself one new humanity.
