Sunday, (Jun 5) – Praise the Lord for His faithfulness in keeping His promise to send the Holy Spirit to his disciples and believers, as they gathered and waited together with one accord in one place, sharing the same love and trust in the Lord. May we desire in faith and unity to be continually filled with the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, who transforms our lives and enables us to devote ourselves to the Word of the Lord, remembering His Work, fellowship and prayer, in order to be effective witness to our Lord Jesus.
Monday, (Jun 6) – Pray for the church cell group ministry that it will fully complement our church theme of reconnecting with God and with one another to serve God as a holistic and healthy growing church. Pray for cell group leaders that their spirits will be continuously refreshed and renewed in the Lord: they will soar on wings like eagles, run without growing weary, and walk without fainting (Isaiah 40:31). Pray for our cell members to grow in knowledge and understanding of God, as well as to have a passion and deep desire to study God’s Word in order to live a flourishing life in light of God’s self-revelation in Jesus Christ.
Tuesday, (Jun 7) – Pray for the Holy Spirit to place in our hearts one name for this year, be it for our friends, family, or co-workers to come to know Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Pray that we, as the body of Christ, will be more intentional in sowing seed to unbelievers who have yet to hear the good news (gospel) of God’s salvation. Pray for the sick that they will experience healing and restoration from the hand of the Lord.
Wednesday, (Jun 8) – Pray for the Nation: Pray for wisdom and discernment for our Prime Minister Sabri Yaakob to convene a general election (GE15) at the appropriate time in the best interests of the nation. Pray also for our Prime Minister to carefully consider all factors that would affect the rakyat before reintroducing the goods and services tax (GST), which was prematurely abolished by the Pakatan Harapan administration in 2018. Pray for improved business confidence and prudent policy decisions across the country’s business sectors to stem rising inflation and living costs. activities, and responsiveness in controlling the dengue outbreak.
Thursday, (Jun 9) – TRAC: Pray for the upcoming seminar (via zoom) which will be held on June 18 on Family Ministries – Discipling the Next Generation, organized by TRAC Board of Christian Education. Pray for God’s anointing and guidance to be upon the speaker Dr. Herbert Tan and the team. Pray for a greater awareness among us of the importance of discipling the next generation, especially in light of an increasingly digitalized world while attempting to keep to the basic biblical core of discipleship. Pray that many people will join the seminar with eagerness to learn and practice. Pray that all the arrangement goes smoothly on the day.
Friday, (Jun 10) – Pray for the children as many are having school holidays this week. Pray for God’s protection to be upon them. May this be a time for the children and teachers to have sufficient rest and to prepare for a joyous return to school at the start of the next term. Pray for God’s blessings to be upon the family, that they will have a blessed time bonding with one another throughout the holidays, and that they will also experience God’s goodness together and draw closer to Him.
Saturday (Jun 11) – Pray for the World: Thanks be to God that Shanghai has now eased a range of covid-19 restrictions. Pray continually for God’s healing and protection be upon the people, as well as His guidance to be upon the leaders and for the recovery of the economy. Pray for North Korea. Pray for God’s mercy that the spread of corona virus is contained. Pray that the leaders will be open to receiving aid from international groups or countries if they are in need. Pray for God’s sustaining grace, comfort and strength to be upon the remnant.
