Sunday, (Jun 12) – Pray that the biblical characteristics of Stephen’s message on authentic Christianity (Acts 7) will minister to the heart of the church as we reconnect with God. Pray that we will live our lives as authentic Christians by applying these three basic truth principles. First and foremost, authentic Christianity is founded wholly and only on God’s revelation and instruction. Second, authentic Christianity stresses that salvation is wholly a gift from God. Third, authentic Christianity is founded on “the Spirit, not the letter” (2 Cor. 3:6); in essence, it opposes all forms of institutionalism.
Monday, (Jun 13) – Pray for our church Worship & Music Ministry. We thank God for each member of the worship team, media team and sound team, who offer their God-given gifts to serve Him. Pray that they will depend on the leading of the Holy Spirit, and His Word will minister to the heart of the congregation through the time of worship. Pray that each member will grow in their personal relationship with the Lord, who alone can provide joy, strength, wisdom and all they need, and may the Lord bless them as they serve Him as well as they strive to excel wherever they are placed, to glorify His Name. Pray that God will lead more people to see the gift that He has given them and to join His ministries so that it can be used for His glory.
Tuesday, (Jun 14) – Pray for Christ’s Church locally and worldwide, to be the church of reconnecting with God – recognizing His presence by welcoming His presence in expectancy to experience His transformative actions in His people’s lives. Pray that by reconnecting with one another, Christ’s Church would rebuild the spiritual community that has been lost in the lives of God’s people. Pray that the Church will display the beauty of Christ in a Christ-shaped community that praises God and enjoys the favour of all God’s people as the church gatherings indeed matter.
Wednesday, (Jun 15) – Pray for the Nation: Pray that God would raise upright and righteous leaders who will do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly before Him, especially in bringing high-profile cases to a closure. Pray for our government’s prudence in implementing a health insurance programme for retirees due to depleting EPF savings and rising costs. Pray for the government to implement swift measures to alleviate the escalating costs of food and other essential items, which have disproportionately impacted B40 households and those in the middle-income bracket.
Thursday, (Jun 16) – TRAC: Pray for the upcoming seminar (via zoom) which will be held on this Saturday 18th on Family Ministries, Discipling the Next Generation, organized by TRAC Board of Christian Education. Pray for God’s anointing and guidance to be upon the speaker Dr Herbert Tan and the team. Pray for a greater awareness among us of the importance of discipling the next generation, especially in light of an increasingly digitalized world while attempting to keep to the basic biblical core of discipleship. Pray that the participants will join the seminar with eagerness to learn and practice. Pray that all the arrangement goes smoothly on that day.
Friday, (Jun 17) – Pray for the food security. As many countries are facing growing levels of food insecurity and increased food prices due to pandemic, war, climate changes and the like, pray for God’s protection and mercy that food supply will not be disrupted. Pray for God’s wisdom to be upon the country’s leaders to implement pragmatic measures to secure the essentials for the people with minimum inflation. Pray for a strong social safety net to support the lives of vulnerable families and individuals who are in need.
Saturday (Jun 18) – Pray for the World: Pray for the St Francis Catholic church in Owo in Nigeria, which was attacked by armed men on June 5th Sunday. Pray for God’s comfort and healing to be upon the church and the community in the town. Pray that they will experience God’s presence and His peace in a tangible way that they will continue to gather and worship Him. Pray for God’s intervention and His mercy to be upon the country, so that violent attacks and kidnappings will stop and His peace will prevail. Pray that God will strengthen the churches and our faith in our Lord Jesus, our Living Hope, so that we will continue to witness the Gospel.
