Sunday, (Jun 19) – Pray for men and fatherhood in our country and throughout the world, that they will instill a profound sense of trust in God that will enable them to lead and defend their families and others who rely on them. Pray that God would show them how powerful a godly man’s prayers are, and what a difference he has and can make in the lives of people around him. Pray that Christ’s grace and forgiveness will be sufficient to free them from the shackles of false guilt and shame that are impeding their efforts to love and know you with all their hearts, souls, and minds.
Monday, (Jun 20) – Pray for our church Training & Equipping Ministry and the upcoming Interactive Bible Class (Letter to Colossians). Pray for unity among the team as they conduct eight sessions of the class on alternate Sundays starting from July 3. Pray for God’s guidance to be upon Bro. Ernest and Dr Ee Sze as they facilitate the class. Pray that God will instil a sense of expectation in the hearts of the participants to desire to learn from God and from one another. Pray for the work and leading of the Holy Spirit during the preparation and throughout the eight sessions, that the participants will recognize His presence and His teaching.
Tuesday, (Jun 21) – Pray that the church globally and locally, to find strength in their sufferings (Romans 8:18) and to be more than conquerors in the face of foes (Romans 8:31-39). Pray that the church would form communities in God’s vision of justice, peace and love through living out the gospels, releasing captives from injustice, healing the blindness of the powers of evil, and building community to overcome spiritual poverty. Pray for God to enable His Church to persevere in love, to restore dignity to the suffering, and to build a society founded on inclusion (community) rather than exclusion.
Wednesday, (Jun 22) – Pray for the Nation: Pray that Deuteronomy 30:9 will be our prayer unto the LORD as we come in repentance and seeking God’s forgiveness for our beloved nation. Pray that God will give our rulers and authorities the conviction of heart, wisdom and understanding to fear and honor Him. Pray for God’s justice and favor to refill our nation with overflowing milk and honey, as well as the annihilation of the forces of darkness, scorn, devastation, and demons.
Thursday, (Jun 23) – TRAC: Continue to uphold Bishop Emeritus Dr. Hwa Yung and family in prayers as they mourn the passing of their beloved late Dr. Lee Bee Teik. Pray that God will help each of them to express their grief. May His love and mercy embrace them and they may be comforted by His presence, His eternal relationship and promise for them. May they continue to lift up their eyes to our Lord Jesus, who alone is the source of living hope and power of resurrection.
Friday, (Jun 24) – Pray for the judicial system and justice in this country. Pray that God will reign over the judiciary as the sole Righteous Judge and His justice may prevail. Pray for the reform of the judicial system. Pray that God will raise judges who fear God. Pray for their integrity and courage in delivering their judgments in accordance with the law and evidence presented before them, independent of any political or improper influences so that the sound and impartial judgements can be delivered for the country and the people.
Saturday (Jun 25) – Pray for the World: Pray for the growing concern in the world over the recent monkeypox outbreak, as the WHO plans to hold an emergency meeting this week. Pray for God’s wisdom and guidance to be upon them as they assess whether the outbreak represents a public health emergency of international concern. Pray for India as well, as the government announced a new military recruitment scheme, which was met by protests. Pray that people’s concerns are acknowledged and that nonviolent negotiation is achieved.
