Sermon Title: Standing Up for our Faith
Scripture Text: Daniel 3
Introduction
A question: “Would you be willing for God to test your faith in Him?”
The Devil tempts us in order to destroy our faith but God tests us so that we may develop our faith.
Faith that is tested takes deeper root, grows and brings glory to God.
Explanation
There is a difference between acknowledging God in the moment and surrendering our lives to God.
God must be supremely honoured and worshipped and obeyed.
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego teach us that faith is both confidence and submission.
God does not always keep us away from the fire but God will always preserve us through it.
Final Word
Remain faithful even when we find ourselves in the fire.
Reflection Question
1. If you find yourselves in situations that calls for you to violate God’s law? What would you do?
2. Reflect upon your most recent difficulty, how was God present in your life?
3. Are you able to surrender to God’s will even when it is not what you want?
