Introduction
Our speech has the power to bring good to people.
Our speech also has the capacity to destroy and tear down people’s lives.
Therefore, we need to be responsible with our speech.

Ø The Power of Tongue. (Verses 3 – 6)
Ø The Difficulty of taming the Tongue. (Verses 7 – 8)
Ø The Call for our Tongue to be consistently glorying God. (Verses 9 – 12)
Final Word
Allow God to take custody of our Tongue.

1. Have you ever been hurt by a harsh word? How did you respond to it?
2. Reflect upon your own speech. How has your speech brought good for others? Have you hurt others with your speech?
3. How can you allow God to take custody of your tongue?
