Father, all-powerful God,

your eternal Word took flesh on our earth when the Virgin Mary placed her life at the service of your plan.

Sunday, (Dec 18) – Baptism & Membership Service – We give thanks to God for His precious gift of His one and only Son, Jesus Christ to us. We give thanks to God for the salvation that comes to us through Jesus Christ. We commit to the Lord, these persons and children who will be baptized today. Pray that these persons and children will grow in their walk with God. Pray also that as we witness these baptisms, we may be reminded of our baptism and be thankful. Remember also those who would be received into membership today.

Monday, (Dec 19) – Christmas Eve Candlelight Service & Christmas Day Service – Commit to the Lord these two services. Pray that as we come to worship God, we may be reminded that we are the reason Jesus came. Jesus who is the light of world stepped down into darkness in order to save for us from the penalty of sin. Pray that as we come, we may be assured once again of the great love God lavished upon us as He sent His one and only begotten Son to us.

Tuesday, (Dec 20) – Pray for peace and hope to abound for the lost who have yet to know the saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and have been troubled by natural disasters, conflict, and disease pandemics, knowing that only in Christ will they find hope and strength. Pray for all churches, both locally and globally, to continue to demonstrate Christ’s life in practical ways throughout the post-Covid social-economic recovery. Pray for countries devastated by flash floods and natural disasters that destroy homes and livelihoods, putting lives at risk, so that practical aid can be delivered to victims as soon as possible.

Wednesday, (Dec 21) – Pray for the Nation: Pray for unity among the PKR, DAP, BN, and other coalition parties so that they can work together and support one another to complete a full term with good results in addressing the priorities of economic and socio-political issues. Pray for the nation’s political stability as the Anwar Ibrahim-led unity government faces a vote of confidence when Parliament reconvenes on December 19, 2022. Pray for the new Health Minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa for the upcoming meeting with the representatives of the Hartal Doktor Kontrak Group in addressing the issues faced by contract doctors such as permanent positions, health commission and the ministry’s long-term plan.

Thursday, (Dec 22) – TRAC – We give thanks to the Lord for the recently concluded 47th Session TRAC. We praise God for all that He is doing among the churches in TRAC. We commit to the Lord all pastors who would be going on transfer in 2023. Pray for God’s grace and strength to be with them as they prepare to move into their new churches. Pray that friendships fostered in the current churches will continue on as we are one big family in Christ.

Friday, (Dec 23) – Pray for missionaries, families and friends, especially those who are away from their homeland. Pray that God will continue to fill each of them with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, as they reflect upon His guidance in 2022 and commit to His leading in the coming new year. Pray that they will be able to celebrate Christmas together with the people in their community to praise and give thanks to God. Pray for God’s continuous protection and guidance to be upon them, and that they will be able to experience His presence, hope, peace, joy and love during this season.

Saturday (Dec 24) – Pray for the world. Praise and Thanks be to God who so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, our Lord Jesus, the greatest gift of all. May His Spirit empower us to proclaim the real meaning of Christmas and the good news of Lord Jesus. Pray that every person on the earth will be set free from the bondage of sins and oppressions, receive the forgiveness of sins and have eternal life in our Lord Jesus. May every knee shall bow at His name and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Sunday, (Dec 11) – Pray that we will be intentional in setting aside time to commune and fellowship with Jesus. Pray that as we spend time at the feet of Jesus, we may come to a deeper understanding of Jesus’ love and heart for us. Pray that we may not be consumed with activities and we lose sight of the importance of pausing in the presence of God. Pray that this Advent, we may be intentional in setting aside time to commune and fellowship with Jesus.

Monday, (Dec 12) – Missions – Commit to the Lord the Missions Faith Pledge that is being launched in Klang Wesley. Pray that God would move the hearts of our people to give to the work of missions in our church. Pray also for people to avail themselves as hands and feet for the work and ministry of sharing the good news to those who have yet to come know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Pray for our Missions Chairperson (Mr. Jesse Teh) that God would lead him and guide him as he leads this Missions Committee.

Tuesday, (Dec 13) – Pray that we as the body of Christ will find joy in our current circumstances by remembering the joy that Jesus’ redemption of our lives brings, redemption that is only possible because of his birth, death, and resurrection. Pray that our hearts be forever filled with the joy of Jesus’ coming, as we reflect on the good news of Jesus’ birth and be the voices that proclaim grace and truth. Pray that during this Advent season, we as the body of Christ will experience great and complete joy from the Lord rather than from what is going on in our lives, our world, or the people we are with.

Wednesday, (Dec 14) – Pray for the Nation: Pray for the Prime Minister’s wisdom and breakthrough in rebuilding the country with former political rivals. Pray for Cabinet ministers to begin the urgent task of rebuilding the nation plagued by formulating and implementing effective plans to address current political issues and the rakyat’s socioeconomic well-being. Pray for the healing of our nation’s fractures caused by decades of harmful politicking that has resulted in racial disharmony and divisions, as well as for peace and unity to reign over the country.

Pray that God will provide their daily necessities, especially in light of the rising cost of food and inflation. Pray that God will grant us a compassionate heart so that we can bless and share His love, and they may encounter Christ during this Christmas season far from their home.

Saturday (Dec 17) – The Boys’ Brigade (BB) Enrolment Service will be held this evening. Pray that the hearts and spirits of the boys and their family members who will be coming will be open to the touch of God, and they will be blessed by the entire worship service. Pray that the message will minister to the boys and their families. Pray also for the BB ministry in our church. Praise God for all the officers who are serving faithfully and pray that their ministry will bear fruit in the lives of the boys, so that at God’s perfect timing the boys will experience the love of God.
