This Week’s Prayer: 19th – 20th March 2022

Almighty God,
thank You that we can come close to You,
knowing that the barrier of sin has been removed.

Thank You that You give us true rest
for our soul and perfect peace
to our hearts –
and that in the midst of any storm
Your peace that passes
human understanding remains.

Look with mercy on those
who have yet to know your salvation.
Convict the hearts of people of their need
to come to You and enable them
to place their trust in Your redemptive blood
for the forgiveness of sin.

Thank You in Jesus’ Name.
Amen

Sunday, (Mar 20) – Pray that we would take God’s invitation to come to Him seriously. Pray that we would be able to catch God’s vision for our lives; our families and our church. Pray for a stronger desire to walk in step with Jesus in all that we do. Pray for strength as we persevere in God’s kingdom work. Pray that each one us will have a personal call to serve in specific areas of God’s various ministries in the church.

Monday, (Mar 21)Pray for the Church Worship & Music Ministry – Pray for God’s guidance to be upon Sister Hilda as she leads the Worship & Music Ministry of our church. Pray for all worship enablers to have a closer walk with God. Pray for the Holy Spirit’s guidance to be upon all of them in their weekly preparations. Pray that our worship enablers will serve not with their own strength but out of the strength and anointing that comes from God.

Tuesday, (Mar 22) – Pray for divine opportunities and encounters for long-lost acquaintances, acts of compassion in reconnecting with them, and sharing the good news of salvation. Pray for an intentional spirit of loving and putting others above ourselves, as well as compassion for their souls, which can be nourished by God’s words. Pray for encounters for healing and strength in the face of daily challenges and trials as well as God’s mercy to pull them through and totally restore them, especially those suffering from long covid symptoms. Pray for patience and strength for all caregivers who are fatigued, burned out, or stress from caring for the sick.

Wednesday, (Mar 23)Pray for the Nation: Pray that our prime minister to have the discerning wisdom in calling the right timing for the 15th General Election (GE15), allowing the pandemic situation to stabilise and not succumbing to pressure from some political parties to hold it soon. Please pray for sufficient funds to be granted to our Ministry of Health to meet the chronic under-investment in the nation’s public healthcare system as stated by Minister of Health, Khairy Jamaluddin. Pray for rapid acceleration of covid-19 booster jabs among senior citizens age above 60 in order to reduce the rising number of deaths in this age group.

Thursday, (Mar 24)Pray for TRAC: Pray for more participations among the TRAC Churches during the MCM Monthly Prayer Gatherings. Although churches come together to pray virtually, we pray for the Lord’s presence to bring the churches together in unity. Pray for our TRAC Churches to come before with repentance in their hearts for the Lord says that “if my people who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and heal their land”.

Friday, (Mar 25) – Pray for children, who begin or restart schools this week. In the midst of high covid 19 infections, pray for God’s protection to be upon them. Pray for God’s direction to be upon schools so that they may work together with local public health authorities to put in place the required health measures. Pray for good communication and collaboration between schools and families so that children can learn in a safer atmosphere. Continue to pray for the seamless vaccination schedule for children with no or little side effects following vaccination. Pray against the clusters. May God’s peace be with the children’s parents and guardians. Continue to pray for students who are taking SPM exams or other exams.

Saturday (Mar 26)Pray for the World: Pray for China as they fight against the recent surge of covid-19 infections, which has resulted in the lockdowns and business shutdown in various cities. Pray for the sufficient medical professionals and facilities, as well as for speedy vaccination, especially for the elderly. Pray for God’s protection and healing to be upon the people, as they also have been under mass testing and movement restrictions. Pray that the business shutdown will not disrupt the delivery of essential supplies.

This Week’s Prayer: 12th – 13th March 2022

Heavenly Father,

thank You that despite the wickedness
of the human heart and the evil intentions
in the mind of the fallen man and woman,
You determined from before the foundation
of the earth, to redeem Your creatures
and You chose to forgive the sins of those
who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Thank You that all who believe in Him
are declared righteous by Your grace.
You are a good and gracious God
Who forgives our iniquity,
declares us righteous,
and remembers our sins no more.

Help us to walk in Your ways
and to point others to Jesus,
the Author and Finisher of our faith.

In His Name we pray. Amen

Prayer List: 12th – 13th March 2022

Sunday, (Mar 13) – Genesis 6: 9 says that “Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God”. Pray that we as a church will seek to live a life that is pleasing to the Lord. Pray for our walk with God to be deepen and strengthen. Pray that we will learn to obey God all the days of our lives even when it is challenging and difficult. Pray for the Lord’s enablement to be with us as we strive towards living holy and blameless lives.

Monday, (Mar 14)Pray for the Church: Boys & Girls Brigade – Pray for the gospel to be shared among the students. Pray that God would raise more people to be involved in the brigades ministry as officers. Pray for the Lord’s guidance and strength to be upon our captains (Capt. Jonathan Raj & Capt. Sarah Joyce) as they lead their respective brigade company. Pray that the seed sown in their lives of these students will bear fruit in the future.

Tuesday, (Mar 15) – Pray for Pastor Bill Wilson, who is leading the Metro World Child team to Ukraine to assist the victims, particularly the children who require immediate assistance in life or death situations. Pray for God’s protection and strength to be with them as they seek for survivors and provide food, water, and medical supplies while supply networks in many places are cut off. Continue to pray for Ukraine as a large number of Ukrainians depart their nation as the war and hardships worsen. Pray that the truce will come to an end.

Wednesday, (Mar 16)Pray for the Nation: Pray for the rakyat to adapt effectively and follow the refined SOPs in the ‘Transition to Endemic’ phase (yet to be released) from April 1, 2022, which include guidelines instructions for reopening the country’s border to foreign travel, religious activities, and commercial operating time constraints. Pray for the Federal Territories minister that the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) will find the best solution to resolve the recent flash floods. Pray for justice, righteousness, and stability in our country, workplaces, churches, schools, and neighbourhoods.

Thursday, (Mar 17)Pray for TRAC: Pray for all TRAC Churches. In this season of Lent, pray that the church will do all that she can to draw closer to the Lord. Pray that churches in TRAC will take the time to ponder on all that Jesus has accomplished for us. Pray that God will open our eyes and our ears to see and hear what God continues to do in our churches. May this season of Lent be a season whereby our churches will re-examine themselves and allow God to lead them as a church respectively.

Friday, (Mar 18) – Pray for the families of the 239 passengers and crew members of MH370. This year marks the eighth anniversary of the disappearance of a Boeing 777 that took off from Kuala Lumpur on March 8, 2014 but never arrived at its destination. May God’s comfort be upon the families. Pray that God will continue to guide the governments and investigators in the search for the MH 370, bringing healing and closure to the families, and ensuring the safety of international flights.

Saturday (Mar 19)Pray for the World: Pray for Ethiopia, especially four low-lying regions (Oromia, Somali, Afar and SNNPR) that have been experiencing severe drought. Many people rely on flocks of sheep, cattle and other animals for their livelihood, and water shortage leads to the loss of the livestock, then to loss of livelihood. May God in His mercy hear His people’s cries and send rain on the lands. Pray for God’s protection be upon small children from malnourishment or diseases caused by the contaminated water. Pray that the humanitarian relief reaches the affected areas as quickly as possible.
