This Week’s Prayer – 5th – 6th Feb, 2022

Heavenly Father, what amazing grace that Jesus would choose to come to earth to die on our account, so that we no longer remain under condemnation as sinners, but we are identified with Him and clothed in His righteousness.

Thank You that You did not leave us in eternal condemnation, through Adam’s sin, but purposed to redeem us with Christ’s precious blood.

We pray that we may live in willing obedience and thankful submission to Your leading and guidance, and thank You that in Christ we have eternal life. In Jesus’s Name we pray, AMEN.

This Week’s Prayer – 29th & 30th, Jan 2022

Grant us, O most merciful Jesus, your grace ever to desire and to will what is most acceptable to you and most pleasing in your sight.
Let your will be ours, and let our will ever follow yours, and fully accord with it.

Let there be between you and us one single will, so that we may love what you love, and abhor what you hate; and let us not be able to will anything which you do not want, nor let us dislike anything which you desire.

Thomas a Kempis (1380-1471)

Prayer List: 29th & 30th, Jan 2022

Sunday, (Jan 30) – Pray that we will learn to come to the Lord just as we are. Pray that deep within our hearts we will come to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ for each one of us. Pray that in all circumstances, we will speak and act for the audience of our God. Pray that we would know deep within our hearts that God welcomes all of us just as we are regardless of what we may have accomplished or may not have accomplished. Pray that we will do all that we can to come to the Lord.

Monday, (Jan 31)Pray for the Church – Pray for all families represented in Wesley Methodist Church, Klang. Pray that families will create opportunities to bond together. Pray that families will make time to practice family altar whereby they are able to pray for one another. Pray for families to be able to share with one another theirs joys as well as their burdens. Pray that all families represented in Klang Wesley to draw closer to God

Tuesday, (Feb 1) – Praise the Lord for His faithfulness and goodness in allowing us to return to our hometowns and spend the Chinese New Year with our families this year. May God’s protection be upon everyone physically and spiritually. While we appreciate the opportunity of reunion, pray that people may consciously observe SOPs, especially in light of the rising rate of Covid infectivity. As we may interact with people of different faiths and cultures, pray that our hearts are always tuned to God, and that His Spirit enables us to share about Jesus with the gentleness, grace and humility that our Lord Jesus has taught us.

Wednesday, (Feb 2)Pray for the Nation: Pray that God will continue to bless our country with stable economic progress so that the people will benefit. Pray for a fair distribution of the nation’s resources among all races. Pray against the twin problems of self-interested political maneuvering to stay in power and corruption exposes, both of which have negative consequences for our national economic development as well as our global economic and transparency rankings. Pray that the smaller and economically weaker communities that were badly impacted by the epidemic and recent floods (particularly their sources of livelihood) would not be neglected.

Thursday, (Feb 3)Pray for TRAC: First Local Conferences – Pray for all the respective District Superintendents. Pray for God’s grace to be upon them as they enter into a busy season of holding Local Conferences in their respective districts. Pray for good time management and pray that in the midst of busyness, our DSs are able to take time to connect with God. Pray for a smooth running of all the Local Conferences in TRAC. Pray for God to speak to all the leaderships of the churches in TRAC with clarity.

Friday, (Feb 4) Pray for those who are unwell and those who are weary. Pray for God’s healing, comfort and peace be with them. Pray that they may experience God’s presence and remember that He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, and our cry reach His ears. Pray that God will restore them to full healing. Pray for the care givers. May God bless them with patience, mercy and compassion. May they draw strength from God, and may His presence be with them as they serve those who are in need.

Saturday (Feb 5)Pray for the World: Pray that many followers of Jesus in Pakistan will be bold in sharing their faith. Pray that people they come into contact with would be receptive to the gospel message and that it will take root in their hearts and lives. Pray for more workers and their safety, as the need is great. Even though Pakistan is comparatively hospitable to Christians sharing their faith in compared to other Muslim nations, 98% of the country’s 200 million people remain unaware of Jesus.
