CHURCH RESUMES IN-PERSON WORSHIP SERVICE & SOPs

Please take note of the following:

1. The Church has resumed Saturday evening (5:00pm) and Sunday morning (8:30am) in-person worship service. It will be on first-come-first-served basis.
2. The worship service will be live-streamed for those who are unable to attend physically.
3. Attendees must be fully vaccinated:
   • 2 doses of Pfizer, AstraZeneca & Sinovac and completed 14 days of waiting time or
   • 1 dose of Johnson & Johnson or CanSino and have completed 28 days of waiting time
4. Those who are not vaccinated due to health issues must provide an Official letter from the Health Authorities.
5. Attendees are required to scan their MySejahtera QR code or register on the Record book. Kindly update (refresh) your MySejahtera App before coming to Church.
6. Those experiencing fever, cough, shortness of breath or flu are not allowed to attend.
7. Children below 12 years old are discouraged from attending (by Ministry of Unity, Malaysia).
8. Please diligently practice the SOPs – social distancing, wearing face mask at all times, sanitize hands, no shaking of hands.
9. Please adjourn home as soon as the worship service is over, refrain from hanging out at the foyer in groups.

Sunday, (Jan 9) – Pray for TRAC: The Ordination Service of TRAC will be held on the 9th of January 2022. At the service Rev. James Ong will be ordained as Elder and Pastor Luke Ng will be ordained as Deacon by the Bishop of the Methodist Church. Two Sengoi Mission Conference pastors will also be ordained. Nine new lay preachers will be recognized and blessed and will receive their LPL certificates. Pray for all the above pastors and lay preachers that God will guide and bless their ministry. Pray that they would remember that it is God who has graciously called them into ministry.

Monday, (Jan 10) – Genesis 1: 27 says – “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them”. Pray that we as a church will indeed learn to bearers of God image. Pray that in all that we do and in all that we say, we may portray the likeness of God. Pray that we would have a deeper understanding of God’s heart and thus act in a manner that would glorify His mighty name.

Tuesday, (Jan 11) – Pray for God’s wisdom and strength to be with our Health Minister and Health D-G as they continue to fight the new Covid-19 Omicron variant. We thank you for their sterling performance and actions thus far, such as continuously monitoring reports from the World Health Organization (WHO) and other countries affected by this new variant, as well as continuous tracking of developments in imposing travel restrictions on any country if possible to keep this new variant from spreading further. Pray that the Ministry of Health considers whether Sinovac vaccination recipients who have already had a Pfitzer booster should receive a fourth dose to strengthen their protection against the extremely contagious Covid-19 Omicron variant.

Wednesday, (Jan 12) – Pray for the Nation: Pray for our country’s judges, from magistrates courts to the Federal Court. Help them in making right, fair, and equitable decisions rather than draconian and arbitrary ones. Pray that God will give them wisdom and discernment so that they can strike a balance between justice and mercy. May God raise up upright judges who will judge in line with the nation’s laws and fear Him. May God give them wisdom to do the right thing in these contentious times, especially when dealing with high-profile persons or institutions. Also, pray that they will maintain the Constitution’s spirit in defending individual rights and ensuring a democratic way of life.

Thursday, (Jan 13) – Pray for all the senior members of Wesley Klang. Pray for our seniors to be role models to the younger generation of our church. Pray that our seniors will be able to reach out to the young ones with a hand of friendship. Pray that there would be opportunities to journey with the children and youths of our church. Pray that through their very own lives and testimonies, our younger generation will be encouraged and inspired to live a Spirit-filled life.

Friday, (Jan 14) – Pray for the authorities and agencies involved in the disaster management at the national level. Pray for God’s wisdom and guidance to help them strengthen their current pre-disaster, disaster and post-disaster systems. Pray that the disaster management system is well-defined so that each agency and department are able to fulfil its task efficiently and effectively, and that it is well-coordinated at the district, state and national levels.

Saturday, (Jan 15) – Pray for the World: While the number of covid-19 cases is rising in countries around the world with the Omicron variant, it is reported that France has detected new variant called “IHU”. Pray for God’s wisdom upon the governments so that they can provide appropriate action and advice in the county to stem the spread of the virus. Pray that people would continue to follow SOPs even after this holiday season is over. Pray for students and teachers, as many of them return to schools as new semester begins.

Sunday, (Jan 2) – The recent events such as the Pandemic and the floods had caused so much havoc in the lives of people. The Pandemic has brought about so much disconnection in most of our relationships be it among friends, family and church. The changes in the way we worship together in church has also changed resulting in people feeling disconnected from God and as well as within the church family. Pray that as God pursues after us, we will intentionally draw ourselves close to God. Pray that we will take Jesus’ invitation to come to Him seriously. Pray that we as a church will learn to rest in Jesus and may we learn to minister to one another in the church out of that rest we have received from Jesus.

Monday, (Jan 3) – Pray for the Sunday School ministry of Klang Wesley. Commit the Sunday School Superintendent (Sis. Tien Bin) and the entire team of teachers to the Lord as they plan out the programs and activities for the Sunday School. Pray for the love of Christ to be shared to the children of our Sunday School. Pray that our children will grow up knowing the love of God in their lives. Pray also that our children will learn to also love one another and bless others especially when they are in school.

Tuesday, (Jan 4) – Pray for flood victims and relief efforts, as well as attempts to clean up after the floods and rebuilding homes that have been damaged. We give thanks to all non-governmental organisations and volunteers that acted quickly to provide shelter, food, transportation, and boats to people who were impacted by the recent floods. We also give thanks for the ongoing search for rescuers who have saved lives, particularly those who have become lost or stranded. Let us continue to pray for good weather as we work to rebuild and clean up the places that have been impacted. Pray for our government to not only provide financial assistance, but also for ministers or MPs to have a compassionate heart in servicing the needs of the rakyat who have been badly impacted by the floods.

Wednesday, (Jan 5) – Pray for the Nation: Our prime minister’s announcement of Keluarga Malaysia a few months ago resonated with Malaysians as a family-oriented initiative that prioritises family connections with care, trust, and respect. Pray for a strong inculcation of the “family-ness” level in order to maintain the whole family structure functional and to reflect the spirit of muhibbah on a larger social dimension. Pray for better bonding, as such values have lost traction as a result of the lockdown during the epidemic and technology breakthroughs, which resulted in dehumanisation as trust and connections were neglected, lowering the level of “family-ness.”

Thursday, (Jan 6) – Pray for TRAC: Commit to the Lord the TRAC Executive Board Meeting and as well as the Board of Ministry Meeting that will take this coming weekend. Pray for God’s guidance and wisdom to be upon all those who are involved in these meetings. Pray for hearts to be united as they make important decisions for our conference. Pray for the Lord’s anointing to be upon our conference Bishop (Bishop Joshua Khong) and as well as our BOM Chairman (Rev. Ashok Amarasingam).

Friday, (Jan 7) – Pray for schools. The reopening of schools in 2022 has been postponed to January 9 (schools in Category A states) and on January 10 (Category B states) due to the recent flood. Pray for God’s comfort and guidance for the flood-affected parents, students, and teachers. Pray for the students, that they will not be discouraged and instead look forward to a new semester of study with their classmates. Pray for wisdom and direction for the Education Ministry and schools as they prepare to reopen in the best possible time and condition.

Saturday, (Jan 8) – Pray for the World: Pray for the leaders of the world. Pray for wisdom and guidance for them as each country mourns the loss they experienced in 2021 and moves forward with new visions to rebuild it. Pray that the leaders will put their personal agendas aside and prioritize the needs of the people. Pray for them to pursue justice, unity and peace among people and nations around the world.
