Prayer List: 15th & 16th Jan, 2022

Sunday, (Jan 16) – Pray for deeper understanding of God’s faithfulness in our lives. Pray that we will receive God’s invitation to return to Him gladly and pray for the church to be courageous in returning to the Lord. Pray that God would impress upon the hearts of the people in Klang Wesley the importance of returning to the heart of God. Pray that the church would also desire to connect with one another. Pray for more opportunities whereby we may spur one another on towards good deeds.

Monday, (Jan 17)Cell Group Ministry – Pray for strong, meaningful and edifying relationships between CG Members. Pray that it would be a joy to participate in Cell Groups. Pray that members would learn to give of themselves to one another in the CG. Pray for the Lord’s guidance to be upon all CG Leaders as they lead their respective CGs. Pray that CGs will also look beyond their own CGs and connect with those who are not in CGs. Pray that God would encourage all to be part of a CG.

Tuesday, (Jan 18) – Pray that a high immunisation rate would ease the global condition of covid19. by the WHO Director-General this year resolved that everyone unite behind the goal of vaccinating 70% of the population in every country by the middle of 2022. Pray for breakthrough medicines and reliable tests to be provided in all countries so that the pandemic’s acute stage might be brought to an end. Pray for wisdom and discernment for each of the country’s health-care systems as they cope with the pandemic and maintain the health-care system on track, as well as against all types of vaccination and health inequity.

Wednesday, (Jan 19)Pray for the Nation: The recent criticism of the country’s anti-corruption commission’s leadership, as well as floods, demonstrate public faith in the government, with the deficit at lowest ebb. Pray for godly leaders like Ezra and Nehemiah to rebuild the nation by establishing ethical values and social justice principles in administering the nation with fairness, kindness, and a focus on the rakyat’s welfare. Pray for the restoration of a new Malaysia that fosters the Muhibbah spirit that we once had and subjugates all societal divides, resentments, injustices, and inequities in our multi-ethnic society. Pray against political kleptocracy and any form of plunder of the nation’s wealth and resources.

Thursday, (Jan 20)Pray for TRAC: First Local Conferences – Pray for all the respective District Superintendents. Pray for God’s grace to be upon them as they enter into a busy season of holding Local Conferences in their respective districts. Pray for good time management and pray that in the midst of busyness, our DSs are able to take time to connect with God. Pray for a smooth running of all the Local Conferences in TRAC. Pray for God to speak to all the leaderships of the churches in TRAC with clarity.

Friday, (Jan 21) – As part of reconnecting with people, we encourage prayer walking around your neighborhood once a week on the weekend. Pray for those you know and their situations. Pray for those you don’t know in your neighborhood. Pray for communities, businesses, schools, churches and all your local community in your vicinity. Pray not only for the area, but also look and listen to what God might have on his heart for you to pray for in this location.

Saturday (Jan 22)Pray for the World: Pray for the Middle East Church of Churches, which organises the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2022. Pray for Christians from different churches in Lebanon and neighboring countries from different cultures, ethnicities, and languages, who, despite the ongoing political and economic crises, have a common yearning for Christ and a similar desire to worship him premised on Matthew 2:2. Pray for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity which takes place every year during the third week of January and is a worldwide Christian ecumenical celebration.
