Prayer List: 1st – 2nd Oct 2022

Sunday, (Oct 2) – Pray that God would give us a heart for Missions. Pray that we as a Church will reach out to the lost around us. Pray that God would raise more people to be involved with the work and ministries of the Church for the harvest is plentiful. Pray for strength and grace for all those was are already involved with church work. Pray that God would surround all those serving in their respective ministries with people who will be able to love and support.

Monday, (Oct 3)Adult Bible Class: Prayer as an Adventure with God: Pray that these Bible Study classes will draw people into a deeper relationship with God. Pray that these lessons will teach us much about who God is and who we are in the Lord. Pray for our people to have a desire to want to learn and study God’s Word. Pray that our people will not neglect to feed on God’s Word daily for His Word is the lamp unto our feet.

Tuesday, (Oct 4) – Pray that the Lord will work deeply within the hearts and souls of the Baptism and Membership candidates, renewing and refreshing them each week of the class. Pray that the candidates will grow in their knowledge of God and be able to unconditionally love and serve him and his people. Pray that the Lord will refresh all cell group leaders in their roles of guiding and nurturing members to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Wednesday, (Oct 5) – TRAC – 2nd Local Conference of Wesley Methodist Church, Klang (October 5, 2022). Pray for God’s wisdom and guidance to be with our District Superintendent, Rev. Paul Christie as he presides over the meeting. Pray for the unity within the leadership to be strengthen. Pray that as leaders come together for this meeting in-person, we will be able to re-connect with one another. Pray also that our leadership will be able to discern God’s movement in Klang Wesley.

Thursday, (Oct 6)Pray for the Nation: Pray for effective flood mitigation measures to be implemented by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) in order to reduce the severity of flash floods and prevent property losses and damage during the upcoming monsoon season. Pray for our central bank, Bank Negara Malaysia to strengthen its safeguards against financial scams, with cybercrime on the rise in Malaysia and globally. Pray for our Ministry of Education to revamp the current curriculum in order to restore the legacy of high-quality education for the next generation.

Friday, (Oct 7) – Pray for the renewal and restoration of the church, both locally and globally, so that healing and reconciliation can prevail and God can do new things in the lives of His people. Pray for the gospel’s transforming work to rebuild the broken walls of education, national security, healthcare, social welfare, government, and public finances. Pray for refugee children in Malaysia who lack access to formal education so that churches and Christian non-governmental organisations can help them get an elementary education, basic skills, and adjust to life in a new country.

Saturday (Oct 8) – Prayer for the World: Pray for voice for justice calling churches, fellowships and gathering of Christians around the world to join in prayer for the salvation of the lost and the deliverance of the nations from the bondage of darkness. Pray for the end of corruption in Columbia, Ecuador, and Venezuela, as well as the unsustainable exploitation of their resources. Pray for the victims of Super Typhoon Noru in the Philippines so that immediate relief and rescue efforts can be expedited.
