Prayer List: 22nd – 23rd Oct 2022

Sunday, (Oct 23) – Pray that God would shape our church day by day into the likeness of His Son Jesus Christ. Pray that God will deepen His life within us and that we may be witnesses of the Gospel in a fragile world of tragedy and strife. Pray that God would touch the hearts of all who hear the joyous good news with His abiding love. Pray that lives may be transformed and that the church may never be hindered from witnessing and sharing the good news.

Monday, (Oct 24) – The Church Leaders’ Planning Session 2023 will be held on October 28-29, 2022. Pray that as the leadership comes together, we will be sensitive to the needs of the church. Pray that God would bring to our attention the areas of ministry that we need to concentrate. Pray for our leadership to be attentive to the promptings of the Holy Spirit and pray also that the leadership will remain united in one heart and one mind. Pray that God will instill in our leadership a sense of enthusiasm for the work and ministry of Klang Wesley.

Tuesday, (Oct 25) – Pray for those who are sick and seeking treatment in our midst, that God will heal and restore them not only in their body but also in their mind and soul. Pray for the church and the general welfare, especially for people living with mental illness, those who are untreated, and those who are unable to find help and cannot afford medical care. Pray that God will keep our children and youth’s hearts pure and instill in them a desire to live a holy life, so that they may grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Wednesday, (Oct 26)Pray for the Nation: Pray for peace during the GE15, that politicians will campaign in a way that is not disruptive or creates conflict among themselves or political groups within the country. Pray for good weather on election day so that voting can take place without interruption, despite the fact that the country is entering the monsoon season. Pray that those who are eligible to vote will be able to come out and value their voting rights, to vote with integrity and not succumb to any temptations for the sake of future generations.

Thursday, (Oct 27)TRAC – 47th Session TRAC would be held from Friday to Sunday, December 2-4, 2022 at Trinity Methodist Church, PJ. Commit to the Lord our Conference Bishop, Bishop Joshua Khong as he presides over the conference. Pray for the Lord’s guidance to be upon him as he delivers the Conference Bishop’s address with clarity. Pray for the Lord’s anointing to be upon him as he leads the entire Annual Conference. Pray for the Lord’s protection to be upon his family constantly as well. Pray also for the Local Planning Committee as they make the necessary changes due to the postponement of the conference. Pray that all delegates will be able to accommodate the new dates.

Friday, (Oct 28) – Thanks be to God for more opportunities for international travel now, as Covid-19-related travel restrictions and regulations are being slowly relaxed or lifted up. Pray that God will grant the leaders of the nations wisdom as they assess the situation and determine the best measure for their country. Pray for God’s discernment upon each individual to remain vigilant and prevent the virus from spreading among one another. Pray against the new wave of corona virus or outbreaks of other viruses.

Saturday (Oct 29)Prayer for the World: Pray for the people in Ukraine, as nearly 30% of the country’s power stations had been destroyed as a result of Russia’s attacks on infrastructure. Pray for God’s intervention upon the orderly and prompt repair on the power stations. Pray for His guidance upon the leaders in energy conservation, and that the residents are able to access water, fuel and electricity to stay warm in the winter, especially the sick and aged in the hospitals.
