Prayer LIst: 25th – 26th June 2022

Sunday, (Jun 26) – Pray as God’s Word speaks to our hearts in John 14:1-14, meditating on the importance and unique significance of Jesus in our lives. Pray that we would come to know Jesus more personally since He is the only way to live a life of complete fulfillment. Pray that God would give us a humble spirit, relying alone on Jesus to accept the great gift of redemption and total reconciliation with God.

Monday, (Jun 27) – Praise God and thank Him for His faithfulness and goodness that have been witnessed in Klang Wesley. Pray for Rev. Gaurri and the church leaders as they gather for the mid-year Review on July 1st night and July 2nd morning. May the Holy Spirit work among them and lead them as they reflect upon our walk with the Lord over the first half of the year and further seek His direction for the second half of the year. May He guide and bestow wisdom upon the leaders as they lead the ministries that God has entrusted to Klang Wesley for His Kingdom and His glory.

Tuesday, (Jun 28) – Pray for local and worldwide churches to be humble and obedient to God’s changes of plans in different seasons of their life, so that they might see the beauty of His changing work in His churches. Pray that the church would excel in everything; in faith, in knowledge, in all seriousness, the love of one another – but also in sharing their riches and resources with the needy and destitute, as in the Macedonian churches. Pray for the churches to re-establish the practice of not failing to gather together in His church, but of encouraging one another to study God’s Word and endeavor to grow in grace as a body of Christ.

Wednesday, (Jun 29)Pray for the Nation: Pray that the rakyat will remain vigilant in adhering to the SOPs and that senior citizens and those with chronic diseases will receive the second booster dose in light of Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin’s recent statement about the possibility of a new covid-19 wave based on the virus epidemiology development in other countries. Continue to pray that when more corruption cases emerge, they will not only be investigated quickly so that justice, truth, and righteousness are served, but that the current level of corruption does not become a pandemic. Pray for our judiciary system to uphold the judicial motto “Berkhidmat untuk Keadilan” and the supremacy of the Federal Constitution as well as to deliver justice without fear or favor.

Thursday, (Jun 30)TRAC: Pray for the pastors and churches, as we continue to serve God in the new normal with the shift from the pandemic to the endemic stage. Pray for unity and harmony among the pastors, the church leaders, and the congregations that we would be single-minded with the same love in our Lord Jesus for the gospel. Pray for God’s protection to be upon pastors physically and spiritually. Pray that the work of the Holy Spirit be upon the churches and we will be sensitive to the leading that we will grow spiritually and continue to witness to our Lord Jesus through various means in this lost world.

Friday, (Jul 1)Pray for Asia. Asian countries are facing supply chain disruptions in imports of grain, fuel, cooking oil, fertilizers, and industrial metals, triggered by the current Ukraine-Russia war, which has caused prices to soar. Pray for God’s wisdom to be upon the leaders as they face increased risks of political, economic and social instability. Pray for the Prince of Peace to reign over the nations and uphold the peace. Pray for the spiritual breakthrough throughout the nations that God will open their eyes, ears and hearts of leaders and people that they will seek salvation and peace in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Saturday (Jul 2)Pray for the World: Pray for Afghanistan, whose eastern regions were hit by the earthquake last week. Pray that God will comfort and shield those people who mourn over the loss of their loved ones, homes and livelihoods. Pray for God’s mercy and intervention that there will be no more shaking or heavy rain, so that the roads leading to the affected areas will be clear. Pray for effective communication among the country’s leaders, other nations and international aid organizations, and that the essential needs such as medical care, shelter, food, water and clothes are supplied to the people in the affected areas.
