Prayer List: 30th – 31st July 2022

Sunday, (Jul 31) – Reflecting on Acts 2:42-47, pray the Lord will grant us a constant hunger for His Word so that our lives may be conformed to His teaching. Pray that God will give us a sincere love for one another that we may seek opportunities to befriend and serve one another. Pray that God will give us a passion for unity that we may put aside our differences and eat together at a common table. Pray that God will give us a prayer lifestyle so that prayer is always on our hearts and minds, directing everything we do and say.

Monday, (Aug 1) – Pray for Rev Gaurri, as August is the last month of her 3-month Sabbatical. Pray for God’s protection upon her and family. Pray that Rev Gaurri will receive true rest that only comes from abiding in our Lord Jesus and closer relationship with Him. Pray for God’s grace and mercy to be richly upon her that He will renew her strength and passion with joy. Pray that God will reveal great plans for her and grant her assurances with His providence, as she continues to serve Him and seek for the advancement of His kingdom through Klang Wesley and in the community.

Tuesday, (Aug 2) – Pray that young, enthusiastic leaders who are filled with vision and dreams to emerge and move this nation toward peace, righteousness, fairness, and justice. Pray that they will be protected from the evil ones’ temptations, lusts, and deceptions, so that they will not be stymied in their pursuit of true love and relationships. Pray as the youth reflect on Job’s life, they would find hope amid their pains and troubles and rely on God as their fortress and refuge.

Wednesday, (Aug 3)Pray for the Nation: Teach us how to pray for our beloved country, and fill us with Your heavenly throne’s love, forgiveness, compassion, mercy, and grace. Pray for our Prime Minister to be faithful and responsible in his role of providing godly and sound advice to our Agong, and to be wise and prudent in his leadership over the nation. Pray for our cabinet ministers to have great wisdom and ability to move in unison toward growth and expansion in all industries, with concrete plans and appropriate resources to drive the nation toward recovery.

Thursday, (Aug 4)TRAC: Pray for the session, “Conversations & Best Practice Sharing On: How To Work Together Better In A Methodist Church” held on August 6, organized by TRAC Board of Christian Education. Pray for the panelists, Rev Ashok Amarasingham and Rev Ronald Yap, Moderator Mr.William Lim and the facilitating team. Pray that the Holy Spirit will lead the entire time of the conversations, questions and sharing, that it will be the time of blessing and encouraging among all who attend, as well as to promote a synergistic and edifying church community

Friday, (Aug 5) – Pray for God’s protection and peace as we remain vigilant against infectious diseases in light of the recent influenza outbreak and the ongoing high case rates of covid 19. Pray that with His mercy, God will keep the virus from continuing to spread. Pray for God’s protection on people of all ages, especially young children, students, elderly people, pregnant women, and people with chronic illness. Pray for those who are sick or quarantining. Pray that God will take away the fear, anxiety and feelings of isolation from them, and His healing and care to be upon them. Pray also against the further spread of monkeypox in the world

Saturday (Aug 6)Pray for the World: Pray for Laos. Praise God for His works in the nation’s growth as well as the opportunities for the gospel to be shared in the past decades. Pray that His Spirit continues to work in and through the country, strengthening the churches, believers and missionaries, so that they can stand firm even against the persecution and pressure, and continue to grow. Pray for God’s protection upon them from detention, surveillance and restriction, and for His provisions physically and spiritually. Pray for pastors and leaders to have perseverance in building disciples for His Kingdom, and for more opportunities for the gospel to the unreached people groups. Pray also for God’s wisdom and guidance to be upon the country leaders, as the country’s year-on-year inflation has risen with surging prices of energy and consumer goods.
