Sunday, ( May 8) – As families come together to praise and worship God, pray for God’s blessings and favor to rest upon each family represented in Klang Wesley. Pray that God will hold families together in Christ. Pray for parents to be able to point their children to Christ and to raise them according to God’s will for their children. We especially pray for mothers that they will indeed draw strength from the Lord as they continue to care for and nurture their family.
Monday, (May 9) – In-House Church Camp – Pray for the smooth running of the camp. Pray for God’s anointing to be upon our speaker, Ps. Dr. Philip Lyn as he prepares to speak to us. Pray for all physical preparation for the camp to go on well. Pray that God would begin to prepare the hearts of all those who have registered to come. Pray that people will be touched and ministered to by God. Pray that this camp would be a good opportunity for us to reconnect with one another as well.
Tuesday, (May 10) – We praise and give thanks to God for all mothers who bear witness to Your love and the joys and blessings they have brought into our lives. Pray Your blessings on all Godly Mothers (both biological and spiritual) who are fulfilling Your mandate in our lives to be raised and imbued with godly imprints. Pray that Your Commandment to honor our mothers be fulfilled in all families across the world on this Mother’s Day and in the days ahead: “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you” (Exodus 20:12).
Wednesday, (May 11) – Pray for the Nation: Continue to pray for God’s protection of our country’s judiciary system, as several former Malaysian Bar presidents are calling for another “Walk for Justice” to defend the judiciary from alleged intimidation. Pray also for the Bar Council to call an emergency general meeting (EGM) to examine the alleged intimidation of the judiciary. Pray for our king, Prime Minister and his cabinet, and to all those in authority, that their decisions be based on wise counsel, so that peace and welfare, truth and justice may reign among the rakyat.
Thursday, (May 12) – Methodist Prayer Convention – Commit to the Lord all the preparations for this Convention. Pray that God will move hearts of the people in our churches to participate in this convention. Pray for the Lord’s anointing and sufficient grace to be upon the speakers that as they speak forth Your Word, it will indeed bear fruit in the hearts of all participants. Pray that through this convention lives may be renewed through prayer.
Friday, (May 13) – We praise God for His faithfulness and His provision for our daily needs. Pray for His wisdom and guidance to be upon us as we manage His provisions as good stewards, especially in light of prices rising in many areas, such as food, health and transportation. Pray that God will enable us to recognize and assist those in need. Pray that God will continue to bestow wisdom upon the country’s leaders for economic recovery.
Saturday (May 14) – Pray for the World: Continue to pray for Ukraine. Ask God for His forgiveness on the evil of this world, and for His mercy and divine intervention to end all invasions and attacks on Ukraine immediately, so that the country and its precious lives are no longer in danger of destruction. Pray for His peace and justice to prevail, and for the leaders, soldiers and individuals to have the courage to do what is right in His eyes. Pray for the healing and reconciliation between the two countries.
