I was first invited by another church to join in the 24 hours “Read Through The Bible” from Genesis to Revelation in the year 2009. I realised that it created in me a hunger for the Word of God. Two other friends in this group also experienced God’s revelation and vision while they were standing and reading the Word.
My second experience with the “Reading Through The Bible” was in December 2010, with the same group. What an appropriate way to close the year and usher in the New Year. We completed reading through the Bible” on December 31, 2010. On the following day, we saw reported on the news, dead birds fell from the sky in a certain part of the world. Can this be a coincidence?
In 2 Kings Chapter 22- says it causes repentance in the hearts of man. There is indeed power in the proclamation of the Word of God.
I felt that if revival is to come to our land, let Klang Wesley be one of the churches to receive revival. Also to coincide with the Lent Season, Klang Wesley decided to proclaim the Word of God from Genesis to Revelation into the spiritual realm
Our reading commenced on April 4, 2011 at 7.00 a.m. in our sanctuary and completed on April 7, 2011 at 12.00 noon. Seventy-one people of various age groups participated in the reading. The total time taken was 76 hours and 52 minutes.
