Scripture Text: Hebrews 7: 20 – 28
Introduction
One of the deepest desires of the human heart is the desire for certainty.
Explanation
- We can be certain because Jesus’ Priesthood is guaranteed by God. The priesthood of Jesus is guaranteed by God’s oath.
- Jesus lives forever and He continually intercedes for us.
- Jesus is able to save completely because He is the holy, sinless and perfect.
Final Word
Because Jesus is our Perfect High Priest, we can rest in His finished work and in his continual work.
Reflection Question
1. Have you ever felt uncertain about who God is in your life? Share and pray.
2. How does knowing that Jesus continually intercedes for you change the way you live your life?
3. Are there still unconfessed sins in your life? Come before God with confession and repentance for we have a High Priest who endures forever.
