Scripture Text: Luke 18: 9 – 14
Introduction
We come to God not because we are entitled to but because Jesus has made it possible for us.
Explanation
1. Pride blinds us to the truth of how we really stand before God.
2. Humility helps us to see and admit to the truth of where we stand before God.
3. We are called to approach God in humility.
Final Word
We need to be humble because God alone justifies.
Reflection Question
1. Would we allow God to examine our hearts to see if there is pride in our hearts?
2. Would we repent of our pride and come to God in humility?
