Sermon Title: Trials lead to Maturity
Scripture Text: James 1: 1 – 12
Introduction
Trials and challenges we face will test of faith. These times of testing will produce in us endurance that would lead us towards maturity.
Explanation
- James calls us to face all the trials that comes our way with joy. Why? Because at the end of it, God will accomplish his purposes through them.
- The testing of our faith produces perseverance. Faith is tested when trust is tested, and when that happens, perseverance of the lack of it will be seen.
- In all the trials that we face, we must learn to seek and trust in the wisdom of God.
- James calls us to rely on God and His resources when we go through trials.
Final Word
Let remain steadfast in facing our trials with perseverance, then at the end of it, we will receive the crown of life.

1. Recall the trials that you have experienced? Were you able to face it with joy?
2. Who do you naturally turn to when you face trials? What hinders you from turning to God for wisdom? Turn your thoughts into prayer.
3. Think and share one of your life challenges that enabled you to grow in your perseverance.
