Pastor’s Desk – June 7, 2020

Many wonder whether the CMCO will finally end on June 9, 2020. Even if it is finally lifted, we will still have to live under certain limitations. The government has made it very clear that religious bodies cannot meet in large numbers again for some time. All this is because Covid-19 works in unpredictable and deadly ways. Many nations of the world took drastic steps to cause lockdowns that has badly affected the economy, education, entertainment, sports and other areas. I am waiting for the barber shops to open. However, we need to see the big picture and count our blessings during MCO. Remember the Lord Jesus’ words: It is more blessed to give than to receive. (Acts 20:35)

It is my hope that this MCO period has been a good learning time for us, especially in the two greatest commandments that God has given us: love God wholeheartedly and love others as we love ourselves.

God bless you in all ways.

Pastor Ashok
