Prayer List: 20 – 31 October 2021

Sunday, (Oct 31) – Give thanks to God for graciously calling each of us to Himself as His disciples. Pray that we will worship Him as the exalted Lord who has all authority. Pray that God will purify our devotion to Him and we will find great joy in living a missional life for Him. Pray for forgiveness for our tendency to forsake His calling on our lives in favour of comfort and ease. Pray that the Holy Spirit will help us see opportunities to engage others with the Gospel, and for courage and confidence to proclaim Christ. Pray that the Lord will empower us to touch the lives of others through the love that God first gave us. Thank Jesus that He will always be with us – to guide and protect us, and we will never be alone.

Monday, (Nov 1)Missions Month: Pray that Wesley Klang would be able to live out the Great Commission. Pray that each one of us will be on the lookout for opportunities to make disciples of all nations. Pray that God would help us to persevere as we seek to journey with new believers. Pray that God would bring onto our path those who have yet to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Pray that Klang Wesley would be a church that point people to Jesus.

Tuesday, (Nov 2)Pray for the Nation: Pray that Budget 2022 will spur economic growth and improve the well-being of the rakyat as the nation moves to recover from the pandemic. Pray for godly wisdom for the government to be able to achieve the three focus areas targeted: namely improving the people’s well-being (especially for those in the B40 sector), helping businesses build resilience, and creating a prosperous and sustainable economy. Pray that the allocation of RM4.8 billion under Budget 2022 to generate 600,000 jobs will benefit those who are currently jobless, and give them the opportunity to rebuild their earning capacity.

Wednesday, (Nov 3) – Uphold all our Small/Cell Groups in prayer. Pray that we would be able to encourage one another through these groups. Pray for God’s wisdom and guidance to be upon all Small/Cell group leaders as they lead their respective groups. Pray that each leader will truly experience God’s love and faithfulness in their hearts. Pray also that God would raise more people to step up to become Small/Cell group leaders.

Thursday, (Nov 4) – The Leaders’ Planning Session for Klang Wesley was postponed from last weekend to this coming Saturday, November 6, 2021. As the LCEC members and Cell Leaders meet to plan for the year ahead, pray that they will be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s promptings. Pray for a spirit of unity and love to prevail. Pray that our church leaders will want God’s will above everything else. Pray that the Lord will grant them wisdom and guide their discussions and thoughts, and keep their hearts tuned to His heart. Pray that the planning session will be interactive and productive and that all that is planned for the year ahead will be in accordance with God’s sovereign will for the church. Pray for God’s protection upon the planning meeting and upon all our leaders and their respective families.

Friday, (Nov 5)Pray for TRAC: Pray for Bishop Joshua Khong (TRAC Bishop) and Mr Yap Koon Roy (Conference Secretary). Both are in their first year of holding these important positions in TRAC. The 46th Session TRAC is less than one month away, and will be held online on 20th November 2021. Pray that they will lean upon God’s strength always. Pray for God’s wisdom and guidance upon them. Pray that they will diligently serve God and the people. Pray for good health for them and for God’s protection upon then and their respective families.

Saturday, (Nov 6)Pray for the World: The US Food and Drug Administration has authorised the use of the BioNTech/Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine for children aged 5 to 11 years. The vaccine will be administered in “kid-sized” doses in two jabs three weeks apart. Pray that this vaccine will soon be made available to children all over the world, and vaccinating younger children against COVID-19 will bring the world closer to returning to a sense of normalcy.
