1.5) Focus For Today:
The Lord is still my keeper in 2020 as he was millennia ago to Israel. Jesus will never leave you. He is always there: 24/7.

2) The Community of God Must Affirm God’s Help for Us

2.1) Psalms 120-134 are the Songs of Ascent depicting pilgrims travelling up to Jerusalem
2.2) Psalm 121 begins with the leader’s theological question in verse 1.
2.3) The journey to Jerusalem had perils thus pilgrims needed the assurance of protection and safety.
2.4) LESSON ONE: Accept the New Normal- Don’t Worry, Don’t Grumble.
2.5) LESSON TWO: The pandemic may SHUT the church doors but the church (people) will always be connected to God, our Keeper.
2.6) LESSON THREE: Nothing Beats Physical Worship – Thank God when the church doors reopen.

3) There Can Be No Real Community Of Faith Unless Every Disciple of Christ Takes God Seriously

3.1) The beauty of Psalm 121 is that it is both communal but also person/individual. God cares for each pilgrim.
3.2) LESSON FOUR: Taking Away Some of Your Comfort & Freedom is NOT All Bad.
3.3) LESSON FIVE: The Busy Life is Not the Godly Life if Busyness Excludes God from our Lives.
3.4) Let us press the PAUSE BUTTON of our lives in 2020…catch up on enjoying to read more of God’s Word on Sunday, spend more time in prayer on Sunday or with family members and prebeliever friends.
