This Week’s Prayer: 26th – 27th March, 2022

O God of love,
we ask You to give us love;
Love in our thinking,
love in our speaking,
love in our doing;

And love in the hidden places of our souls;

Love of those with whom we find it hard to bear,

And of those who find it hard to bear with us;

Love of those with whom we work,

And love of those with whom we take our ease;

That so at length we may be worthy
to dwell with you;
Who are eternal love.

William Temple (1881-1944)

Prayer List: 26th – 27th March, 2022

Sunday, (Mar 27) – God seeks to be in a covenant relationship with us. Pray that we will desire to remain in relationship with God. Pray for obedient hearts to the Lord. For the times whereby we may find ourselves wandering away from God, pray that God will take hold our hearts and seal it to His courts above. Pray that we will respond to God’s love by accepting and believing in the One whom He had sent for us – our Lord Jesus Christ. May this Lent continue to draw us into His presence with thanksgiving for all that Jesus had done for us.

Monday, (Mar 28)Pray for the Church – Baptism & Reception into Membership – This will take place on the 10th of April 2022. Pray for all who would be baptized. Pray that God will continue to work in the hearts of these new believers as they a make commitment to follow Jesus. Pray for their lives to be transformed to be more like Christ in all that they do. Pray that the church be reminded of her own salvation as she witnesses the baptism. Pray also that church will embrace all those who would be brought into membership as one family in Christ.

Tuesday, (Mar 29) – Pray for wisdom to be ready to face new challenges, socially, economically and politically, when we enter into the endemic stage from April 1st. Pray that we do not lose sight of God’s Great Commission to evangelize and make disciples of all nations via acts of compassion and purposeful authenticity in all types of interactions. Pray for a renewed spirit of love for the Lord, as well as confession of our contrite hearts. Pray that throughout this Lenten season, we would experience God’s love, grace and mercy to know him more profoundly.

Wednesday, (Mar 30)Pray for the Nation: Give thanks to our recent fair and righteous court decisions. Continue to pray to uphold our judges to be impartial, fair, strong, bold, wise and righteous, particularly in continuing cases of corruption and misappropriation of national finances. Pray that the government to issue a fairer and more reasonable guideline for allowing refugees to work in appropriate sectors and that they will encounter Christ. Pray for protection, wisdom and strength for Pastors, Church workers, medical professionals, caregivers, and front-liners who are at high risk of being exposed to the Omicron-virus in the course of their ministry and care.

Thursday, (Mar 31)Pray for TRAC: TRAC Pastors School – Pray for all TRAC Pastors who would be attending the TRAC Pastors School from the 19th – 22nd of April 2022. Pray for journey mercies as all pastors travel to Taiping. Pray for pastors to have a good and blessed time of re-connecting with God and one-another. Pray for opportunities whereby fellow pastors may encourage, edify and minister to one another.

Friday, (Apr 1) – We give thanks to God for our loved ones and ancestors who have gone before us. We thank God for their lives and blessed time we shared with them, as well as the memories we will continue to cherish. As many people, especially Chinese, gather next week for Qing Ming, may God grant Christians opportunities to share His love and grace with their family and friends, especially those who have yet to experience the amazing grace of our Lord Jesus. Pray for the good weather and SOPs compliance wherever they gather. Pray that their hearts are always attuned to God’s heart, that they are sensitive to His guidance and wisdom while they may observe some of their loved one’s traditions and beliefs.

Saturday (Apr 2)Pray for the World: Pray for Myanmar. Pray for God’s protection upon the citizens who are suffering from the pandemic and ongoing civil war. Pray for God’s intervention that He may bring peace and justice to the land. Pray that He will also use the international community to ensure that people’s basic human rights are protected and restored, and that urgent needs of humanitarian aid reach the destitute and needy. Pray for God’s divine protection and sustenance grace to be bestowed upon local churches and missionaries, so that they may continue to stand firm in their faith for the gospel.

This Week’s Prayer: 19th – 20th March 2022

Almighty God,
thank You that we can come close to You,
knowing that the barrier of sin has been removed.

Thank You that You give us true rest
for our soul and perfect peace
to our hearts –
and that in the midst of any storm
Your peace that passes
human understanding remains.

Look with mercy on those
who have yet to know your salvation.
Convict the hearts of people of their need
to come to You and enable them
to place their trust in Your redemptive blood
for the forgiveness of sin.

Thank You in Jesus’ Name.
Amen

Prayer List: 19th – 20th March 2022

Sunday, (Mar 20) – Pray that we would take God’s invitation to come to Him seriously. Pray that we would be able to catch God’s vision for our lives; our families and our church. Pray for a stronger desire to walk in step with Jesus in all that we do. Pray for strength as we persevere in God’s kingdom work. Pray that each one us will have a personal call to serve in specific areas of God’s various ministries in the church.

Monday, (Mar 21)Pray for the Church Worship & Music Ministry – Pray for God’s guidance to be upon Sister Hilda as she leads the Worship & Music Ministry of our church. Pray for all worship enablers to have a closer walk with God. Pray for the Holy Spirit’s guidance to be upon all of them in their weekly preparations. Pray that our worship enablers will serve not with their own strength but out of the strength and anointing that comes from God.

Tuesday, (Mar 22) – Pray for divine opportunities and encounters for long-lost acquaintances, acts of compassion in reconnecting with them, and sharing the good news of salvation. Pray for an intentional spirit of loving and putting others above ourselves, as well as compassion for their souls, which can be nourished by God’s words. Pray for encounters for healing and strength in the face of daily challenges and trials as well as God’s mercy to pull them through and totally restore them, especially those suffering from long covid symptoms. Pray for patience and strength for all caregivers who are fatigued, burned out, or stress from caring for the sick.

Wednesday, (Mar 23)Pray for the Nation: Pray that our prime minister to have the discerning wisdom in calling the right timing for the 15th General Election (GE15), allowing the pandemic situation to stabilise and not succumbing to pressure from some political parties to hold it soon. Please pray for sufficient funds to be granted to our Ministry of Health to meet the chronic under-investment in the nation’s public healthcare system as stated by Minister of Health, Khairy Jamaluddin. Pray for rapid acceleration of covid-19 booster jabs among senior citizens age above 60 in order to reduce the rising number of deaths in this age group.

Thursday, (Mar 24)Pray for TRAC: Pray for more participations among the TRAC Churches during the MCM Monthly Prayer Gatherings. Although churches come together to pray virtually, we pray for the Lord’s presence to bring the churches together in unity. Pray for our TRAC Churches to come before with repentance in their hearts for the Lord says that “if my people who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and heal their land”.

Friday, (Mar 25) – Pray for children, who begin or restart schools this week. In the midst of high covid 19 infections, pray for God’s protection to be upon them. Pray for God’s direction to be upon schools so that they may work together with local public health authorities to put in place the required health measures. Pray for good communication and collaboration between schools and families so that children can learn in a safer atmosphere. Continue to pray for the seamless vaccination schedule for children with no or little side effects following vaccination. Pray against the clusters. May God’s peace be with the children’s parents and guardians. Continue to pray for students who are taking SPM exams or other exams.

Saturday (Mar 26)Pray for the World: Pray for China as they fight against the recent surge of covid-19 infections, which has resulted in the lockdowns and business shutdown in various cities. Pray for the sufficient medical professionals and facilities, as well as for speedy vaccination, especially for the elderly. Pray for God’s protection and healing to be upon the people, as they also have been under mass testing and movement restrictions. Pray that the business shutdown will not disrupt the delivery of essential supplies.
